Off to work...my one-day workweek is in jeopardy due to this hurricane. I'm going to be especially pissed if we get a hurricane when I'm supposed to be off and playing trains!!!

I'm very well prepared so it's likely to pass...umbrella rule ;)

Morning. One more sleep before we head to Orlando, barring any roadblocks from striking airport workers, environmental effects and TSA.

Morning, all.

Finished with my four day work stretch and it was quite tiring.  After an extra hour's sleep this morning, I'm up and at 'em.  Nah, I'm still tired.   :) Hope the hurricane misses the US.  Hope all our Narrow Gauge conventioneers got home safely as well.

Good Morning All,

I see the hurricane is now a Cat 5. I think Florida is getting ready for our own Texas event. Pretty sure by Thursday we will know what's going to happen.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Basement renovation starts today!

Is anyone else having problems with Railroad-line.com today?  It's like part of the website (CSS?) is missing, I don't see the login, etc.

Mornin' all.

Things are a bit glummmm here in downtown Idaho.  We are, not too slowly, losing one of our premier modelers.  He is on this forum but only as a lurker.

Bruce is losing out to an aggressive brain cancer that came back from a really rare other sort of cancer.  He has been home for several months and is now in hospice care at home.

Bruce is the go to guy in the valley for weird DCC operations questions and programming of locomotives.  He has a settings roster for most every loco in town. I know all of mine are in there.

He charges nothing for aiding others in the hobby.  He just fixes stuff for any and all.  He has never lost sight that this is a hobby and nothing more.

He and I have been hanging around together for over 30 year and we are just good friends.

Sad days here for the next little while.

see ya

Dave,
I believe you have taken the wrong colored pill today.  RR line is fine.

Not!  I've have notice the same problem as well since yesterday.
Let's hope the forum gods fix it soon.  Thanx Thom...

Bob,
On behalf of all of us in the hobby world who have learned, benefited, or enjoyed the presence of Mr. Bruce I'm sorry to hear the current news on his being.  That's why it's so important to  enjoy everyone who improves or shares his or hers time with others.  Thank Mr. B. for making a positive difference to this "Worlds Greatest Hobby".  Thanx Thom...

Morning to all !
On the road today with the spouse...
Another thing that the Forum may have lost is all the fantastic photos posted by Karl O ... maybe that is in progress of recovery ...
Sad news about Bruce ... we are hearing news about many great modelers and it's not easy to be told that ...  :'(
