37 th National Narrow Gauge Convention
« on: August 29, 2017, 10:48:22 PM »
Okay Folks, I am opening a thread on the Narrow Gauge Convention which starts tomorrow. I know that there are several of the Forum members here, including our illustrious "Jaime", so hopefully everyone will post their pics her over the next few days. In my case, this is my first convention. John Siekirk has been to many of these events and I'm sure that Jaime has as well. Hopefully we will all provide you with different perspectives of the convention. So stay tuned, the fun starts tomorrow.

Wish I was there, but things came up and could not make the trip. Hope everyone has a great time and keeps us posted.

I would like to wish everyone a great time at the convention. I'm at Best Friends in Utah. Bringing back a beautiful dog (they are all beautiful) for a dear friend of mine. She lost hers a few months ago. The breed is a Dodo Argentina, also known as the Argentine Mastiff. He is less than a year old. What a sweetheart. Affectionate, Protective, Loyal, Friendly. Tolerant, Cheerful, and Very Smart.
This is one truly amazing dog. He was rescued from a dog fighting ring. Best Friends turned his life around. There is no such thing as a bad dog, only a bad owner. Adapt, it will make you feel good.

Back in the hotel room, tired from a full day of trains. Spent a few dollars in the vendor room. Jaime, John Siekirk and got together for dinner. John and my wife joined us and we dragged them to the vendor room. ( They were carrying the credit card ). Earlier in the day I was in the contest room and took a couple of photos. I took my wife into the contest room after dinner and there were a lot more models there, so i will try to get back in tomorrow and take additional photos. There are some real nice models, and as many of you know, judging is by popular vote. Here some of the pics, More tomorrow.

Beautiful pics. Have a ball!

(How did I allow myself to be too busy to attend a NNGC in Colorado?) :-[
