Good morning.

Never forget - 9/11

Pictured above is one of the many fantastic modules on display at the 2017 National Narrow Gauge Convention.

Take care and stay safe.

Morning. Well it looks like the worst has passed, hope all is safe.  Growing up I remember people talking about where they were when the Kennedy Assassination happened. I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news about the World Trade Center.

Morning all,
Glad Irma is leaving.  Hope all are safe.  Question: Evil in disasters,
When neighborhood's (towns) are determined that need to be evacuated because of dangerous conditions, why aren't the looters cars/homes that come out to rob hard working others never seen losing their cars/homes in the same disaster?

Never understood why the evil aren't penalized with the same loss as the innocent in the same situation, and then go around complaining on TV about how everything isn't fair!   Signed-confoosed?

Sunny and cool just as it was on that Sep 11. Except this is PA: that was while we were in MA.
Railroad on, folks.
Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.

My good friend Jack Connolly worked on the 84th floor of the South Tower.
He was last seen doing a sweep of the floor to make sure everyone had left.

Good morning.  I'm waiting to hear from our Florida friends.  I hope all are safe. If you get a chance to visit NYC the 9/11 memorial is a must see. We will never forget.

Good morning,

It was a bit windy last night when the eye of the storm passed overhead. We propped a chair against the door to prevent the rattling. Otherwise a uneventfull night for us.

Good Morning,

I hope the rest of the Florida members fared well, especially Scott and Ed. The path that NOAA predicted looked as if it was knocking on their front doors. I think I did pretty well, haven't heard one way or the other, I do know FTL got some 100 mph gusts and a lot of water. My-Daughter-in-law said it got quiet in Winter Gardens during the storm, but nothing serious. This statement coming from the security of their walk in closet in the middle of the house.

Everyone have a good day, dry out Florida.

Good morning,

Present.  No power.  Minor damage and a lot of debris to clean up in the yard but safe.  No idea how long we'll be without power though.

Have a great one!

Mornin' all

Yard chores first and then up to the bench.

I had to go inside one of my pocket watches and adjust the lever set mechanism.  A gear was walking over another.  Back together this afternoon.

Tonight I am meeting with a small regular group of modelers who have set aside Monday nights for many years.  This is the first gathering since we lost Bruce McCosh last week.  It is not going to be one of our regular raucous visits.

see ya

Rode out the storm through the internet because I was 3000 miles away in Valencia CA. Friends pet sitting lost power overnight but no damage so dodged a big bullet. Despite all the news take a moment to remember 9/11. We will never forget

Afternoon All,

Made it through with minor damage. Family all came through without issue. Thinking about how our world changed on 9-11-01.
