I live in Central Florida and I support UCF but I didn't think they could beat Auburn and they proved me wrong.  Great job UCF.

Curt, You were not alone. I don't think they could play a big five conference schedule and go 13-0. But their accomplishment are still stellar.
Plus their coach and staff stayed and now will go as a unit to Nebraska. Rare on both counts. I love their campus and program. The quality beats some other Florida schools. Out of respect I will not name them.

I don't know what you Florida people have going but.............

In downtown Idaho......... if you go to any sports bar............

If there is a Florida game going they have it on a big screen and there is a really big crowd.

What's up with Florida............ I'm lost.

see ya

I've got a recent UCF grad and a present UCF Junior who hit the road right after the ball dropped and drove to Atlanta for the game. That idea went from insane to epic quickly. My family was in Arizona when Blake Bortles led UCF to a similar bowl game upset over Baylor a few years ago...beautiful campus, great programs, good hoops, great stadium, now developing a legit football power. Hopefully, it won't vanish overnight with Scott Frost, who is a big time coach. I'd like to believe they are ready for their "statue coach" and their years of stepping stone program are getting close to an end. I'm really happy for UCF...although, long term growth is a function of booster $$$$-which they may not have yet. (don't look at me - I need Expo bucks)

Love it that an AAC team is getting noticed. It's a league that gets better every season. UCF worthy successor to last year's champs, the Temple Owls.

Meanwhile, Roll Tide.

My son graduated from UCF just before X-Mas.  The funny thing is he has absolutely zero interest in football (or pretty much any other sport) and wouldn't have been able to tell you what the football teams win/loss record was at any point throughout the year if I hadn't mentioned it to him from time to time.   ;D

Both of you are lucky. That lack of interest in sports had to enable your son to focus more on his school matters. And for you and your wife, you all didn't have to remind your son of priorities.

My son is a UCF grad of 1989 and attended many of the games this year.

However, like me he is a die hard Gator fan. Not much to cheer for the past several years though.

It's great to see an all SEC playoff this year. I hate Georgia but hate Alabama more since Nick Saban said he was a true Dolphin. He said he wasn't leaving for Alabama as he WAS leaving for Ala.

Saban ruind the Dolphins and they are still recovering.
