Good morning. Thoughts and prayers with my Florida friends Forum and others. It appears Irma is going right through Venice where our  close friends live also where we stay on the beach in Feb-Mar may not be there after the storm passes thru.  Haven't been able to get in touch they have more important things on their minds.
Things as usual for me.  Jim

Morning Mark, Jim and others,

I have food, ice, water, gas, generator and plenty of Diet Pepsi. I'm set. Probably won't lose power until Sunday night/Monday morning.

It appears to be moving up the west coast of Florida and not the center but that can change anytime.

It's overcast gray here with a slight wind.

Morning all,

I have water, food, wine, a corkscrew, glue, paint, kits, etc.   :)  All I have to do now is move a few things around outside and secure on gate then it'll be time to play the waiting game.  The most likely impact will be that we'll be without power for some period of time.  At least I have a good excuse for not doing any yard work tomorrow or Monday.   ;D

Have a great one!

Morning all,

Hunkered down here at the layout house on the coast. Boat is secured, generator ready, food ok, flashlights, etc. only thing we fear is the rising water (which doesn't project to be too severe). My boat is safe and secure in the lift unless the water rises and pushes it thru the roof  :o ...Other home (close to Orlando) is locked down tight- previous owner installed aluminum storm window covers, so those are all mounted...wish I had them here as we recently finished a MASSIVE total renovation of a fixer-upper...guess we'll find out if it's built as well as it looks. Suddenly, rolldown storm shutters and whole-house generator seems more luxurious than the hot tub and pool table ;)

Actually getting some layout work done  :)

Be safe Floridians and others staring down this storm. See you real soon.

Good Morning All,

We're as ready for the storm as we can be. I just wish it was over already. This is probably it for me until after the storm. Good luck to everyone that will be affected.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Afternoon all.

We are as hunkered as we can get.  All the Phones, Batteries, and Medical Equipment are charged and ready to go.  Have water and some food as I am sure we will be without Power before the weekend is over.

Not too worried because all the Publix Stores have Generators and will have hot food by Tuesday.

Hope everyone stays safe and dry.
