Hello and good morning. More snow in Chicago. Well over a foot total accumulation in the last few days.

No snow in the basement, tho.

Good Morning Vince and Mark and all that follow. I woke up about 4 am this morning with many items on my mind that needed to be done. So here I am in the train room. As NMRA director of our division, I needed to respond to our regional newsletter. I also have to finish the division meet invitation letter for mailing to the membership. Then there are some issues in the train room, like cleaning that bothered me from getting more sleep.

As far as weather herein the desert, I can't tell because it is still dark outside. It is supposed to be another nice day with the potential of rain late next week. We can use the rain to clear the air and help all the vegetation in my yard.

Have a wonderful day, especially if you are in the train room.

Morning all,

80% chance of rain here today, which means we get 0.

Going for the daily 3 miles and then the day is mine working on building threads. Need to finish Cuse's little loco too.

Have a great day ya'll.

Good morning! Vince and Dave you could just keep all that snow on your side of Lake Michigan. It's been a while since I had to push the snow piles back to make room for more alongside my driveway. If we get the 4-7 inches they are predicting today we will be over two feet for the last three days. I'm heading into the train room. I hope everyone has a great day. Here's another picture from the Narrow Gauge Convention Layout Tours.

Spent the day yesterday operating our club's logging layout "Prospect Point" at Milton Keynes Model Railway Exhibition. We had lots of interest and tons of compliments but it was bitter sweet as it was it's penultimate showing - the last being Eurospoor in Utrecht in November. The layout is up for sale and we hope to find a nice home for it either as a home layout or on the exhbition circuit. The size of the layout is 12ft x 12ft and is best operated by a team of 6 people at exhibitions (3 on and 3 off).

There is a nice utube video of it operating here-

As Thom has repeated my lighthouse of Friday here is another couple of pictures from my recent cruise................

Well, I tried twice airbrushing white primer onto a reefer car body, and for some reason the paint came out wrong both times.  So I put everything away and cleaned the workbench, including painting the piece of MDF underneath the airbrush booth.

I'll try the reefer tomorrow, probably with different paint (but I'm surprised I'm having a problem with Vallejo paint, which is usually very reliable!)

Did you strain the paint, Dave?  I had trouble a couple of weeks ago with the Vallejo Air, but worked fine after running thru a screen/strainer.
