Whipsaw!
it's 61 degrees here this AM as I let the dog out at 6:30 AM. Low for the day? 31 tonight. I love variety.
Gotta' get busy and figure out what a three day weekend is. Maybe others will elucidate later.

Morning, all.

Checking the road conditions before heading to work.  Yesterday when I left for my morning appointment, it was 50 degrees.  When I got back 2.5 hours later, it was 20 and freezing rain.

Good morning.
Thanks to Dave and Jeff for sending their weather my way.  Mid- fifties and raining today (like now), temps falling by tonight, freezing rain and sleet overnight, accumulating snow tomorrow with a high in the mid teens.  That's a 40 degree drop in temperature in a day, accompanied by ice and snow.  Gee, the fun just never ends here!
Sure looks like a good weekend to hunker down and get some modeling done.

Morning friends,

I've been up since O dark thirty looking for more lost treasures. Found some I'll share later on the A&S thread.

Looks like rain here and is going to get cold over the next few days.

Back to the grind, ya'll have a great day.

Tom ;D

Morning all,

Yes!  A three day weekend for Martin Luther King Day.  Only trouble is this would be the last one Memorial Day.  I'll have to make a few of my own with vacation time to fill in the gap.   ;)

High of 79 today but tomorrows the high is only 61 and Sunday it will be 59.  Winter is Coming!   ;D

Good Morning All,

The weather is as Bob said. Finished the build yesterday and it will get placed on the layout today. After that I have my whistle and bell signage to replace.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Good afternoon! I just got back from the hospital - this time with the CFO of the S&S RR.  Amy is doing fine - I'm taking orders as a good husband should at these times.  Amy had an emergency appendectomy on Tuesday for those of you that missed the memo. I awoke this morning to 37 degrees and rain, 30 min later we had a 1/4 inch of ice covering everything and within an hour we had 2 inches of snow on top of that.  It's now 9 degrees. Needless to say the 4 wheel drive in the Jeep came in handy this morning. It is sure nice to be home - with Amy. We are going to try to keep of the roads for a few days.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

John - Glad to hear you and Amy are home safe and sound.  It sounds like you had a bit of a stressful week.  After you do you husbandly duty taking care of Amy make sure you spend some time at the work bench so you can relax and brush off some of that stress.  ;)

John,

Great news for Amy and you. Good idea to take it easy and off the roads in that weather.

John,
Having lived in Mich. years ago, I know about Snow on top of ice.....makes it very hard to drive.
Stay safe and warm, take good care of Amy and model when you can.

Good news about Amy John. I am suffering from a heavy cold and we will be showing Red Hook at Weston Super Mare this weekend. The organiser does it for charity to aid the local hospital.

I have got to get well as I am celebrating a big birthday next Friday on a cruise up the coast of Norway. Accordingly to the boss "the Northern Lights"  was on my bucket list!
The boss is into photography - go figure.............
At least I can check on the Bergen fish market and warehouses.............

Mike ;)

Thanks guys for the good wishes.  I'm ready for some bench time! One thing I have noticed about being retired and away from the constant stress of working for a living. I have lost my ability to deal with stress. I think I used up all those skills in my work life. Anyway it's great to have Amy home.

John glad to hear Amy is home and recovering.  Stay warm and take good care of her.  Remember she controls the purse strings as CFO.  Best wishes. Jim
