Thank everyone for my daily dose of modeling inspiration and for all the F&SM photos that show so many details I have missed even though I have seen the layout five times

I'm most thankful to Doug and Robert for this forum and Jimmy D for starting it's predecessor so many years ago.

I gotta say!  It's pretty nice.

It's nice!, reading all these Thank You's here.

I'm looking at simply publically thanking somebody(s) by name here, on this thread, is like when your company is having a big office meeting meal and the boss would like to simply name a few for their outstanding help to the team or a team member (an atta boy) while still saying hi to everyone at once.  News flash!  Are we all not the Boss in our world's?

Nobody is left out or shunned.  Also a personal thank you to someone from someone shows personal appreciation for backing someone's play or helping on a project. (it's like giving a firm handshake- it's a show of respect).  Life moves pretty fast and we may certainly tend to forget that (like I do) from time to time is all.

Are the modeling shows to give everyone who attends a trophy now, like at little league?  Those who help others do it far easier than those who need help ask. Hopefully nobody feels pressured to acknowledge someone else, but rather simply know here's a place to say it like it is.

Now, all you snowflakes- Clean up the empty cups and napkins & get back to work on your layouts, dioramas' and building projects!  Thanx Thom...

Well I have a big thank you to all the members of this forum.

You guys are always willing to offer advice and suggestions to those who are stuck on a particular issue or are just seeking advice.
And it doesn't necessarily have to be model railroad related.

Special thanks to Thom Driggers for all the work he has done on my rolling stock and loco's.
A true artist !

A special thanks to Tom Langford who many years ago took on the task of converting a brass loco from DC to DCC and all the associated drama of working with brass.
The end result was outstanding though I'm sure there were moments when he wished he hadn't volunteered to take on the challenge,

This really is a place where as an individual you feel very welcomed.

Regards
Bagman

I don't know anyone well enough to single one person out.   But I do know everyone well enough to say thank you to each person.

I would personally like to thank all of the Forum members, who for the last year, have complimented my work, and pushed me to do more.

I would also like to acknowledge all of the kit makers out there, such as Doug F, Bob V, Brett G, and others who's vision, and dreams have inspired us to push the art further.

And finally, to the Jedi Master of all time George S, to whom I am certain, has inspired each and everyone of us in some way, with his magic for the past 50 years. I would not be here building models, if it was not for George, and that FSM kit I bought when I was 12 years old.....(even thought I never built it)

7thstreetshops - Derrell

I'd like to take a moment out of my day to simply say Thank You, to Derrell.  I'm really happy with all the help & advice you've shared with me on brass and engine building.  Your skills as a builder are truly second to none.

I've enjoyed all of our multi-hour conversations on solving all the world's modeling problems. ha. Good stuff.  Hope to see more of your wonderful modeling pics posted on the forum soon.  Thanx Thom...

Thanx Thom.

Nice thought - to thank others for their kind input into our modeling fun.  (it is never proper to joke about being thankful)

Thanx, Thom & Tom for this forum, occasional business, and general support. I don't know very many people here. So I'll thank the members in general. The people I should thank for specific (continual) help are not likely to be here and some of them have unfortunately moved on to the great layout in the sky - or nebulae, as it were.

They would include people like Harry Brunk (U.C.& N.), Rick Steele (La Belle WoodWorks), John Maxwell (R.R. Drawings and Photos), Hol Wagner Jr. ("The Colorado Road", "The Colorado & Southern - the First 10 Years", Burlington Bulletin" and other works of research). Then I would also thank many of the Patriarchs of the Community that never knew I existed - yet had such an impact on my modeling; people like Lynn Wescott, Irv Schulz, E.L. Moore, John Allen, Fraey & Hayden, and so many more. And lets not forget our peers, those folk who may or may not contribute directly to our modeling efforts but who, nonetheless, encourage and advise us.

We all have a lot to be thankful for - none of us are a product of our own exclusive making! And we live in the Greatest Country in the world! I visited the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) last week. As an old salt myself it was a thrill to stand on the flight deck of one of the most powerful weapons in the world and know that this is the muscle of our freedom!

Be thankful - everyone!

There are several members that I would like to thank. First RPDylan (Bob), lest he forget that the help has been a two way street and he provided me with much help in my scratchbuilding efforts also. I would also like to thank S&S RR (John) for his hard work bringing us the F&SM threads and ACL (Tom) for his contributions to that thread as well as his layout thread and others. I would like to thank Jimmy for bringing the predecessor to this forum as well as his work starting CSS and the EXPO while he still had his enthusiasm. Thank you to Bob S. for the work he does on the forum, Expo and other projects. Even though they are largely non-contributing members, I would like to thank George S. and Bob VanG. for their hard work over the years and bringing the standard of excellence to craftsman kits. Thank you to Doug F. for carrying on the work and becoming the new standard bearer, looks like he's filling the role nicely. I would  like to thank Thom for the operating opportunity he gave me a few years ago, For two weeks I had a smile on my face you couldn't have beat off with a pi$$ elm club. Even though it could get me banned, I would also like to thank "He whose name must not be mentioned", Scott M. He welcomed me to the first CSS and made me feel like part of the action. I found him friendly and helpful as well as encouraging to me as a newbie. Lastly, thank you to all the forum members who have done build threads or otherwise shared their modeling with us so we could enjoy and learn from them.

Hi all,
I'd like to do something which was done many many times by another fantastic model railroader.  That's, take a moment out of my day to acknowledge another lurker on the forum, who is a most unsung hero to so many other modelers, and yet so well known by others.

I would like to thank selfless railroader Bruce McCosh I've never had the pleasure of meeting or even directly corresponding with, (my loss for sure) but after Bob Parrish's sharing of Bruce I did some research on the man.

Wow, what a great man to spire to be around or like.  He did so many things to help so many other modelers with skills he excelled at, and did it for a simple thank you & a smile.  Well I for one, am both thankful for his inspiration and tutelage for others.

He will be missed by a lot of people who had the pleasure.  A big Thank You Bruce. RIP.   Thanx Thom...
