I truly enjoy these questions, as the answers reveal some very interesting facts about the person. It helps me know the person better.
A picture also brings a closeness. Yes, very cool.
I am ed keen, I was born in Reading, Pa. 74+  years ago. But I live on planet earth in Lithia, Fl.
I am a business owner, my wife Barbara is a nurse at Tampa General. I will not say she is best lady in the world, but until proven wrong, I will say none are better.
We have adapted nine dogs together. I adapted many before that. Out latest is Satchel (named after Satchel Paige). He is an American dog. Shepard, Pit, Hound, but who cares.
I am big on pop culture, been to close to 3k concerts, read two books a week, played baseball for 41 years plus many other sports. High school and college wrestling among my favorites.
Served in the Army. Much more, but I have bored you enough.
With respect to all.

Okay, but what about the ID  ;)
I love photo's, don't we all.

I'm hip. engine (self explanatory) 909 was my address in Springfield, Pa.. Not very creative. Just wanted something I could remember.
You need a book just to keep track of all the passwords, ID's. Geeez, an awful lot for an old fart. Many of you are much more creative. I do need to add a picture. Maybe myself. Great for shock value.
Barb and I watched 8 episodes (end of season 3 and beginning of season 4) this weekend of Breaking Bad which has a cool ID.

Hello folks,

I just use my regular old name - it's easy for me to remember what I'm doing plus I'm not that creative to think of some clever nom de plume! Anyway, I figure I'll scare anybody off when they see me in real life...self portrait taken about a month ago...yikes!

I'm that guessing almost everybody here can put two and two together and figure out where the "Reading" in ReadingBob comes from.  However I have had to correct people that occasionally question the logo on my Reading Company and Technical Historical Society shirt.  They'll ask me what the "Reading" is and pronounce it as in "I'm reading a book" rather than "Red-ding".  I point out that it's the same Railroad referenced on the Monopoly board which they've also been mispronouncing all these years.   ;D  Anyway I grew up in Schuylkill Haven, PA and the Reading ran thru town.  The PRR was nearby too but I remember seeing a lot more Reading activity.  Long coal trains running thru town tying up Main Street.  I even took a trip down to Philadelphia once on a Reading RDC.

The Bob portion comes from my penchant to bob my head up and down when I agree with someone.   ::)

Mine?  Well, I'm an old guy without much of an imagination.  That and my handle on a couple of boating forums is OldePharte.  I didn't think it would go over all that well on any model rr sites which are more family friendly.

Mine gets complicated. First to decode it wins a Raymo vehicle! 😜

Let's just say that if surnames were allowed in Scrabble, yours on a triple word square would be totally awesome.

Facebook of the seventies was CB radio. If you had a CB radio presence you had to have a "handle." Mine was Slim Jerkins. That's half the story...

I used to play one of my older brother's 45 rpm records when he wasn't around , Booker T and the MG's  "Time is Tight." That recording was from 1969. Google it - as great today as it was back then. On the B-side of the record is "Slim Jenkin's Place." As a kid back then I thought Slim Jerkins sounded funnier than Slim Jenkins so I picked the former as a handle. And anyone who knew me knew that I wasn't exactly "slim" either.

Those few who know me, know my name is Geo2rge. But, after many years of enduring the confused looks and having people say, "Do you know there's a two in your name?", and having to explain, "Yes, but the two is silent", I gave up and adopted the name timbob which is a shortening and combining of the names of two friends from the 70's who used the combo name to order seeds from SSSC. I don't remember where the 60 came from as I've used it since way before I turned 60.

Geo2rge aka timbob60

Don't let Karl O fool you, he is as hip as they come. I learned that from many good and honest modelers. Too many to name.

My CVSNE screen name is no attempt to hide anything and it dates back to when I first created a onelist account (later Yahoo) to follow railroad email groups.
I tried mmcguirk and martymcg as  potential names back then but they weren't available.

CV = Central Vermont, my pet prototype railroad.
SNE = Southern New England, my freelanced railroad (based on a fiction that the real SNE was actually completed).

Hi everyone,

Wow! I for one, must say this thread has been very interesting to read n learn about all the great names & avatar's.  I feel I'm getting to know everyone a little bit better and appreciating everyone's input that much more!  Keep'em coming, there's some 300 on this forum I think.  ;)  Thanx Thom...
