Hi All:

Ordered this kit from Artie A few days ago. He asked me to build it on the forum so I'm stopping work on the Sierra West Engine Kit until this one is done.

Here's A pic of the kit.

Karl,
I just saw this one on the Bar Mills website and was intrigued.  Your build is very timely.  Maybe you'll convince me and make a sale for Artie (probably).
Build on!

Hey George:

Yeah it's a very nice looking little kit. I'll see what I can do with it.

Karl,

Didn't Art base this kit on a structure on the F&SM?

Neat.  I have a couple of the other Cranberry Yard structures (still in kit form) but never noticed this one.  I'll be following along!   ;)

Jerry,

No, it is not based on any building on the F&SM.

Hey All you Guys:

Thanks for following along with this one. Here's a few pics of my progress so far. I did not paint the stone base. I merely added some color to separate stones with some powdered color and Black A&I wash. Also painted the doors and bricked up window.  Walls are together with Door and windows installed. Hope it looks OK.

Karl, very nice. Is the stone base a single casting, or is each wall a separate casting?

Hey George:

The stone walls are one casting. Not separate walls.

Karl,

Stonework looks great, really like your base & trim colors, too.

Dang, a day or two and you are about to finish it. Looks great also.
