Tom and fellow forum modelers,

I participated in a ZOOM meeting last Saturday. I had the pleasure of showing my layout. So open the link and go to the 25 minute mark. You can start it there and it ends at the one hour mark. Enjoy the pics.

You deserve a high five !!!
Question : Is Duffy's Tire Shop based on the SRMW kit # 380 ?  Did you have photos of the New England prototype ?

Tommy,

Duffy's tire is a poor man's knockoff of the SRMW kit you mentioned. I saw this structure on Bob's layout many years ago and came home and made my design.

Good Afternoon All,

I received my December issue of Model Railroader yesterday. To my surprise, there is a picture of my layout in Trackside Photos that i submitted earlier in the year. Page 67. This is my last issue. MR has gone down hill over the past year and i have decided to take RMC. My sister-in-law gives a yearly subscription to a train magazine of my choice. Let's see how RMC does. RMC was the first magazine that i was published in many, many years go with a different layout. Just my humble opinion.

I noticed the latest RMC has more pages than MR.  That's a change from how it used to be.

MR should change its name to "modern railroads", there's rarely stuff of interest for me...

Congratulations on the photo.  I continue to subscribe to MR, but when they offered a gift of a year's subscriptions with my renewal, I don't have grandchildren so offered it to my division members.  None took me up on it.
