Well I suppose someone has to open....................Back from a cruise to Southern Spain. The spanish have to wear masks outdoors. try telling that to people trying to get a tan! Your nose and forehead would have a tan and the rest of you would be lily white! February 11 is the big day when all regulations in England are relaxed. Wales and Scotland plough their own fields. I have dug out a few unfinished models to try and get them over the line. More later.
Have a great day.

I'm sorry to hear of Don Ball's passing as well.  He was a good man and a good modeler.  I enjoy his layout pics. :(

I've been seeing all kinds of threads of this Tom Langford guy.  Is he a celebrity (on a tv show, or sports person)?  Is he a writer in a train book or something?  Has this guy done anything worth researching?  I hope he's ok, but did he get covid or something?  Why are there so many threads on him?  Has he ever modeled any trains?  If so what scale?  I've tried looking him up on the internet, but nothing comes up.  Are there any pictures of this guy on the internet?  Who is Tom Langford? Just curious what's the hubbub... :o

Taxi-man~,
I'd like to see you push your expert modeling skills a bit further and build something you've never built before! or perhaps scratch build something you've built as a kit for many times.
                                                                                                           Good luck brother!  Thanx Thom...

Tommy~,
It looks like the oiler down in the track bunker had problems with adjusting the wheel bearing oil sprayer on that caboose?  Weathering! Love it...

Curt~,
Wow, I like the lighting on the mine.  Animation (i.e. illumination) is just awesome with bringing all this great work of gluing and painting to life. 8)

 ACL 1504,

Let me simply say when you're able to read threads on the forum.    Get well soon my friend!
I simply wanted to say (and I'm sure I'm not the only one here) thank you for all the great layout/build posts and your never-ending support for being an inspiration and good friend and supporter on the forum.

You are good people.   Pam is a saint for putting up with you and for letting you come out and play trains with us every day. (thank you pamy.  ;)

Tom get well soon brother and take your time healing (but teach pam how to finish the layout and post so we can see it completed in case you get lazy). ;D

Love you brother!                                                                                                                                              Thanx Thom...

Bagman,
             You are welcome my friend!

Hi all,
Bagman talked about his friend to me over the years, he and his wife used to come to America to visit Stephen and his family and in my home town where I grew up and visited frequently in the past decade and while I never got to meet Stephen, I know what kind of man Bagman is and any friend of his is a friend of mine.

I was sad to hear of his passing and wanting to do something to honor both Stephen and a good dear friend of mine and this came to mind.  If everyone gets a chance you should look up his layout it's published just about everywhere important in this "World's Greatest Hobby".

Bagman is a bloody brillant modeler and that's why he's been published so many times.
                           Thanx Thom...

Rolling Stock / Re: Most detailed HO rolling stock?
September 27, 2021, 10:50:49 PM
Craig,
The world of HO is what you make it, if it don't fit- you make alterations.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKAgYqYqvzk  I say hit two cars with one hobby knife.  Buy up cars that you like and add all the detail you can put on it and you'll have the best of both worlds (modeling and highly detailed cars) and if you mess it up.  No worries, blame it on ACL 1504.  He's usually being blamed for somethin'. :D
                                             Thanx Thom...

Hey Swisstrain:

I test built that for George when it came out. It's A beautiful station when done. Your interior looks just grea. Keep the pics coming.

Karl

Swisstrain,

Special K is right, this is a cool station.  Karl built a beautiful model from that kit.  George & I even worked on making a quick adverstising test video to help sell the kit.  Joe Fugate from Model Railroad Hobbyist E-zine still shows the footage here.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHDm1zeMH4w  I'll be following alone on this build as I know it will be awesome.  Thanx Thom...
