I am interested in taking pictures of historic structures in and around Albany while I am at the show. I found a photo of a fire station in Coxsackie while browsing through a Fire Station Book.  A visit to Google earth to Coxsackie shows several historic brick storefronts and other structures.  Can any of you recommend any other places, trackside industry, factories, old bridges and old towns around the area?

Thanks,

Jake Johnson

You should pay the $ to get on the NEB&W website.  John Nehrich et.al. have done lots of work documenting the Albany/Troy area all the way up to Saratoga and beyond.  https://nebwrailroad.com/

Drive over to Schoharie county short 30 minute drive. Check out the old stone fort in Schoharie and the Schoharie and Middelburg rr  station , engine house and passenger car there. The Cobleskill for the coal tower, D&H station and freight house plus other buildings on the main line. Down town is about the same as it has been forever other then what fires took down.
