John,

Thank you so much for the photos.  I hated to miss the convention but can no longer travel.

The O scale sawmill was built by Brian Block.  It won the Best in Show and the Gazette Award and a few others.

This sawmill was featured in the Gazette a couple of years back.

Brian has won many awards over the years at Narrow Gauge Conventions.

Many people don't recognize his name as he does not do the internet.

Thank you for stopping by the thread, we missed you at the convention.  Thank you for putting a name with Brian's model.  I will be adding lots of pictures to this thread over the coming days, so please stay tuned.  I spent a couple hours sorting and preparing pictures last night and hope to post a few more tonight.

I met Brian at one of the past conventions. He was working your booth/table at the dealer room. Really great modeler. I was very impressed with his model of an aboned mine. I believe he brought it to the Pasadena convention. I need to dig up the photos I made of that model.

The Matinez Mine. It was at Pasadena. Here is a link to the post I made on the "old forum" from my accounting of that trip:

THE Runner, Mike Engler was there and he was silly enough to spend all night at the LAX airport to keep me awake in order to save a hotel night's fee.. lol
