Okay - Let's see if I remember how to do this.  I'm trying to get this thing started.  I think I need some starter fluid to figure out how to start a thread. Okay I'm hitting post.  I hope everyone can see this when I do.

Have a great day,

John

Good morning! It's time to do some modeling.  Wayne Olson is on his way over and we are planning on doing some scenery work, trees to plant etc.  I hope everyone has a great day.  Here is a picture from the F&SM for inspiration.

Good morning! Looks like we are all sleeping in this Sunday. It's those negative numbers on the thermometer for me. I have the coffee brewed and I'm heading to my workbench.  I hope everyone has a great day. From the F&SM:

Good morning.  We had our first frost here last night - that will bring the leaves down for me to mulch. I'm planning on a lot of time at the workbench, today.  I hope everyone has great day. From the F&SM:

Can anyone help me with a copy of the wall template for FSM kit number 230 - The Branchline Coaling Station.   My friend Wayne Olson decided he wanted to build one of those yellow box kits and he called me last night and told me the templates were missing from the yellow box I gave him to build. I bought this one off eBay many years ago and didn't realize they were missing.
Thank you for the help!

Good morning.  I have the coffee on. I'm up early ready to do some modeling. Predicting another, too hot for outside fun, day here.  I hope everyone has a great day.  Our picture, today, is from a stroll along the North River on the F&SM. Make sure you scroll the picture, this is a big one.

Good morning! I'm back home after a week long adventure with my whole family.  We loaded up the Michigan part of the family on an airplane and flew to California to meet the newest member of the family. I rented a 6 bedroom house Silicon Valley and we had a great time.  A hike through the Red Woods, a hike along the beach so the Grandkids could get their feet wet in the Pacific Ocean etc. etc.  It took last years travel budget and this years to make it happen, but it was worth it. We kept real busy.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning.  It's time to get this place opened up.  It has been awhile since I added pictures to my daily checkin so I thought I would start doing that again. Here is a photograph I took from the Whistler train in British Columbia.  I hope everyone has a great day.

I just got back on my Brownsville Depot build and can't find detail card number 1.  Either I never got it or it fell behind the workbench or something.  I did get two complete sets of instructions with the kit.  George has never shorted me on any of the kits I have bought from him. :) ;)   Can someone take a picture of the card number 1 from their kit and either post it or email it to me. I have a question and it appears the answer is on on card 1.  Thank you in advance.

Good morning! We had 40 degree temperatures, yesterday. It melted a lot of snow, I had a serious river running down my driveway. I'm making the coffee and heading into the train room for the day. It sure beats working for a living.  I hope everyone has a great day.

For the 2021 build challenge I have chosen the SRMW Tucker & Cook Cotton Mill.  I plan to build it as a Crew Quarter's for my Superior & Seattle Railroad. Let the fun begin - the box is coming down off the shelf.

I have a number of photographs of forum members caught admiring the F&SM over the years during the photo shoots we did to create the pictures in these threads.  I will be adding them to this thread as I find them. If you see a picture that you would prefer that I delete - send me a PM and I will send it to the bit bucket.
