Tom I don't know if I have the patience for the ammonia staining, but it does look awesome. I've done the sierra west chalk and alcohol and it turns out good this is a shack i did

Very nice. This fsm kit was the first real craftsman kit I ever built.

Lynn,
Great to hear from you. Working on more than one project is usual.
Summertime here means lots of wood gets stained in the garage and can primers are used to spray detail castings, plaster and resin walls a lot in the driveway for the fall & winter projects.

Hi Tom and Others,
Greetings from the Pacific Northwest. I'm new to the forum and have been following several builds over the past six months. Great craftsmanship abound!
I've been wanting to gently join in and couldn't resist on this build! The FSM #170 Sawmill was my first craftsman kit many years ago and I've been building ever since! Tom, you'll enjoy this kit. And you're off to a great start.
If there is a "newbie" section... that's where I'll be seated and watching from.
Welcome to the Forum !
Glad that this build you found meant something special to you. As time goes on hope that all of us can learn more from the work of others. Happy modeling.
Tommy

Nice work Tommy!

Welcome to the forum theregon.

John,
Thanks for the comment on this FSM kit.
Wanted to take a break on the SRMW projects.
You are doing a great job on that S&S RR too.
Son-in-law going thru cancer testing and have been taking him to the hospital many times this year.

Dick,
Thanks for the comment. Your Sierra West shack looks great. Well Done !
Need to practice more with those Rembrandt chalks that were picked up last year, ... the ones mentioned on the Sierra West website.
