Hmm.  Less than ten minutes to make my way 1100+ miles south for breakfast.  Guess I'll have to pass, though I do appreciate Greg's generous offer for Jim to provide not only breakfast, but a monster buffet yet!

I did make some progress on a boxcar build yesterday.  There's not too much left to finish up before it can go to the paint shop. Fingers crossed it might get there today.

Good morning.

Back from grabbing a few groceries.  I just brewed a fresh pot of coffee and am enjoying it with a blueberry muffin.  I finally finished up the work on the lawn tractor yesterday at lunch time.  In the afternoon I mowed the lawn, pretty timely as it rained overnight, is still raining, and rain is in the forecast at least through the weekend. 

I haven't done any modeling in at least a week as I've been busy with outside "stuff".  I hope to change that today.

I've been up for a couple hours already.  I was rudely woken up by a lightning strike that was too close for comfort. It was accompanied by a light show and rolling thunder with a heavy downpour.  Other than some washed out spots in my driveway it looks like everything is OK outside.

Planning to work on my lawn tractor today, last of the parts I ordered arrived yesterday.  After all the rain (and more in the forecast for the next ten days or so), I may need to use the brush hog on my lawn before I can get on it with the lawn tractor.

Speaking of breakfast, I had my usual bacon egg and cheese on an English muffin sandwich.  I'm on my second cup of coffee.  I have the fixins for more egg sandwiches, first come first served.  Coffee pot is about half full, unless I decide to have some more...

My immediate task is to pay some bills and put the new insurance card in my vehicle so I'm legal to drive.  After that, working on a tractor and a lawn mower yet again. Fingers crossed the last of the parts for my lawn mower arrive today.  The lawn is starting to look more like a field.

Good morning.  Glad to see the door is unlocked.

I'm back in the house to remove the fans from the upstairs windows.  I started them running when I got up this morning.  I'll pull them out, close up the house, and grab another cup of coffee before heading back outside. 

I did manage to work on a boxcar for about an hour last evening, planning to do the same tonight.  Shades of Dave Frary?

It is that time of year again where I spend as much of my time as possible outdoors.  Work on the layout is mostly suspended until some time this fall.

Foggy start to the day.  Once that finished burning off I have too much outside stuff to start working on.  Fortunately I have been working on a boxcar the last few evenings.  There's still a very long way to go on this one.

Tom, I can relate, as a friend of mine was just moved into an assisted care center for rehab.  I have to wonder if he can manage to regain enough of what he lost to return home once his rehab ends.
