Went to bed early, so up early. Nothing news worthy from here.

Have a safe and healthy day ya'll.

Happy Sunday!

Yesterday was yard work day. Today it is raining, so that allows time at the workbench.  I have lots of small things, odds and ends, to finish before clearing off the workbench for a major kit.

I have Rust Rock Falls from FOS on the agenda this summer. It will occupy the heights and provide a visual view block between my Old Head Harbor and the swamps/marshlands of Ragged Edge.

Have a happy day, all!

Good Morning;

Mom and I are recovering from week of kids.  I love them but sure enjoy resting once they go home. The best news is our pup, who had not eaten in over two weeks, ate and drank this morning. She is alert as well. Maybe she just needed quiet time too. Her underling conditions remain but we will take the reprieve.

I hope to enjoy bench time today.

Morning,

It is going to be a rainy week, so I will have to work on the Engine House.

Good morning! I'm off to help my brother get mom's house ready for sale - probably not going to be an easy thing to do. She lived in that house for 65 years. It's hard to imagine living in one place that long in today's world. We have to figure out what to do with stuff. I did get a little modeling time in yesterday, it sure felt good.  I hope everyone has a great day.

Morning all,

I'll be thinking about you John while you take on that unenviable task.  My brother and his wife, my wife and I all worked on cleaning out Mom's apartment at the assisted living facility a few months back.  Nowhere near a whole house in size but we still came out of there with tons of stuff to go through that we had to decide what to do with.  We found Mom's old cape and a yearbook from nursing school.  My SIL contacted the hospital/nursing school to see if they had any interested in either and they did.  They had a room set up as sort of a museum so both went to a good home.

Weather outside is iffy today so I guess I'll stay inside and work on models.   ;)

Have a great one!

The rain has stopped temporarily, but its forecast to resume through tomorrow morning.
Been up long enough that the dregs of the first coffee are cold.
Do know how many may have seen online that there was a successful "mini Timonium" held yesterday. Tickets and entry times were sold in advance, but the turn out appears to have been good and people were glad to be out and about. Show was held at the hotel the NMRA regional is scheduled to use in the fall. The old venue is closed because of structural problems.
Stay dry and optimistic all.

My grandmother went through nurses training in the '20s.  She had some great stories from that experience.  It had a lot in common with my own experience 50 years later in a military school, with room inspections and a lot of 'mickey mouse'. :-) :-)

Those of you who are getting tired of rain, please send it here.  We're probably going back into serious drought this summer.

Doesn't sound like an easy day John - we lost our dad and then 18 months later our mom - had to clean out the only house they ever lived in. Don't wish that chore on anyone. Good luck.
