Hi folks I thought I would finally get around to showing what I've been upto for the past few years. My layout stretches out into two rooms. I've just gotten to the point where I finished filling in the base so thought I can hopefully get my imagination in gear and figure out some elevations for scenery, I find this very difficult to do when I have so many structures yet to build.
Continuing around the layout

Thanks it is sometimes a bit overwhelming.
Wow a great start. Great backdrop also.
Looking forward to the progress on this.
Jerry
Thanks Jerry
This is some great looking scenery Lynn, and that is such a gorgeous trestle.
Thankyou Steve, if you look twice you will see two separate curved trestles. :)
Lynn,
The scenery is fantastic and as you said a bit overwhelming in a positive sense. The two curved trestles are wonderful. It's all so natural looking.
Tom ;D
Great work Lynn.....keep those photos coming. 8)
Wow, your scenery is fantastic , and the way all the structures fit in their places , what a wonderful layout.
Lynn,
Wow! Great looking pictures. I suck at scenery; but you've knocked it out of the park. By-the-way; is that a Wiseman Horseshoe Meadow Depot that I see. Great kit, one of the first kits that I built; many mistakes on my part; but still turned out OK. If I didn't have more kits now than I could ever possibly build; I would buy another
Lynn
Fantastic work, a real inspiration. The scenery blends together very nice and really does a great job framing your structures. Okay now I'm going back and looking at your pictures one more time. Keep up the great work. And please post pictures.

I read furnace room as future room - who needs a furnace. ;) ;D
Thanks Tom, Gregory, Jan, yes John it is the Horseshoe Meadow Depot, the Depot was the first time I tried a new to me shingle colouring, John S. I'm pretty much done any more expansions.
I have my grandson pushing me to get the track reconnected but I'm at a standstill, I have the Fsm I'm Dunn to build and I need to figure out elevations for its rail which will cross in front of the bridge, which just happens to be the last reconnect.
Looks great Lynn! Everything flows together nicely.
Great looking scenery. Those rock formation look real.
Bernd
Great first installment, Lynn!
I'll be watching out for your updates. Its looking terrific.
Cheers, Mark.
Thanks guys.
Hey Lyn:
Just went through all your photos. All I can say is WOW!!!! Just beautiful work. Can't wait to see more.
Karl
Thanks Karl , I need to start building structures now before I do much more.
Very nice work all around Lynn.
Thanks Carl
After getting the rail fitted in to the turntable and turntable working , I painted the backdrop and did the scenery. Just a bit more scenery to do I the area and I can install the turntable permanently.
Everything looks spectacular Lynn.
Lynn,
Your backdrop is amazing and the way the scenery joins it is top notch. I am beyond impressed!

I've missed this thread...it's one of my favorites! Glad to see you back at it...I hope to earn a "bump" for my own dusty layout thread soon too (gotta get it off the second page ;D ).
Beautiful work!
John
Lynn,
Great photos of your layout showing fantastic progress up north !
Keep them coming !!!
Tommy
Lynn, Your trees, rock work and forest floor materials look just great the way you put them together. And I like the way the backdrop blends in also. Nice Job!
Hey Lynn:
You are quite welcome. The background scenery looks great. Can't wait to see some buildings. What's the first kit you are gonna build?
Karl
Thanks guys for the nice comments.

Karl
Hi Karl , well I need to finish the Fsm tractor supply I started back before the IM Dunn build, I hate leaving things unfinished. The structure is done but have to paint all the castings, it really is not one of my favourite builds and will probably end up being a shop of some time. I'm thinking Dexters Dead End, Fsm 2 Stall engine house or a wood coal tower, undecided really. :o
Great progress Lynn..... 8)
Simply love it. Thanks for update.

Hey Lynn:
You are quite welcome. Pics look great. Looks like A turntable is going in there.
Karl
Yes as soon as I'm finished making a mess I'll put the TT in permanently.
Hey Lynn:
Sounds good to me. Can't wait to see it. do you have room for a roundhouse?
Karl
Definitely not enough room for a round house, it'll be the 135 Fsm engine house.
