Thanks for the warm welcome. You and I know the advantage of living in Arizona and taking pictures of our projects outdoors. I took some pictures of several of my dioramas, http://www.sierrawestscalemodels.com/vanforum/discussion/384/206-main-street, outdoors and was complemented by the owner of the kit manufacturer on the natural desert background. I have to do a better job next time to try and eliminate the real structures and huge cactuses in the background. So you are taking your station to San Diego? Good luck. I am not sure whether I will have something for November, but will definitely have something for the regional next year in Scottsdale.
As to the brick, that is the first thing you see when you look at your wonderful project. I don't think you want that. Your eyes are drawn to the bright red. There is so much more nice things to the project.
