Wednesday - Hump Day - March 20
« on: March 20, 2019, 07:20:47 AM »
Good morning,

I 5 minute epoxied two of the short side walls for the DD warehouse flat kit this morning.  1/2 day at work today so I should get some bonus modelling in this afternoon as well.

Morning all,

Back in the cubicle today after two wonderful days off.  I can already feel my blood pressure going up.   >:(

Good morning. Starting a new job on April 1 (no fooling). Lots of little errands to get done before then. Modeling on the sidelines for the moment.... :-[

Good morning.  Sunny and brisk here but warming up nicely as the day goes on.  The wild turkeys were serenading me this morning when I went out to the barn.  Once again, farm stuff on the agenda.

I did manage to get a coat of primer on a model truck yesterday.

Good Morning;

I am driving to TN today to be at my Aunt Betty’s funeral services. We have lost another of the Greatest Generation and she was the last of my wife and my aunt’s and uncle’s.

That generation was remarkable in so many ways and my aunt was no exception.

Mixed bag this AM: Jerry, my condolences on the loss of your family member. Vince, best of luck with  the new employment gig. Does that mean your PA trips are in limbo for a while?
Last nights Tuesday Night Railroad (hereafter known as TNRR) ops session was at an interesting location. The owner used to work in our local, now closed hobby shop. He had a fully operational HO layout with narrow gauge mixed in. Then he got the 0n30 bug and built that layout in an adjacent room. To gain more op space, he ran it back into the original space above the first layout. Interesting running around the HO work train last night with a sound equipped K-27 running above you.
Repainting the main floor powder room today. Then there's trim to hang. At least the light is at the end of this Moffat Tunnel project. To say its been a Challenger is putting it mildly.
Have fun, all.
Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.

Geology lab this afternoon, and it's a bit warmer and dry.  So I climbed up onto the almost-flat rubber roof to see if I could find the leak.  No luck!  There's still some ice and leaves/etc that are stuck onto the roof.

We're getting rain tomorrow night, so that'll be "interesting" to see.  It's possible I had the equivalent of an ice dam on that roof, which will disappear once the ice is gone.  But I suspect there's a small puncture somewhere.  If I can't find it this weekend, the best thing might be to pay someone to coat the entire roof with some sort of sealer.
