Mornuing all. Happy weekend.

Celebrating the wife's birthday today.  Our boys and their girls will join us. Half dozen of us will assemble late afternoon in the driveway to maintain safety.  Great day in SE PA for doing so.

Morning,
Off to help the curbside pickup at the candy shop today...
This photo by Lynn Wesscott of MR was taken at the 21st crossing in Chicago a long time ago. It was posted on another FB forum that is followed.
Reminds me of the many towers over the tracks that George has built on the FSM.
Here is also a link showing steam trains coming out of Dearborn Station using that crossing back in the 30's and 40's...watch the entire B/W video...

Good Morning All,

Some home outlet work today that somehow was missed in the great outlet change a couple of months ago. I have been contemplating the lighting for the build.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Somehow, somewhere, I seemed to have misplaced the battery charger to my new digital camera.  And the battery is low.  In the grand scheme of things, it is a minor annoyance.

In the meantime I came across a little gas station.  It was located in Booneville Mo at Carl Neef's fruit stand.  It must of been open at night as there is a bare light bulb hanging from the gas canister(?) globe(?).  I guess the chicken wire was an inventory control measure.

Morning all,

Off to make that dreaded trip the Grocery store for supplies.  Workbench time later.  Maybe some yard work too.

Have a great one!

Checking in late but happy to be here. I've got a bit of glue on my fingertips from building a little wharf. I'm trying to patch and fill in all of the scenery I can easily reach before I dive into serious mountain building. I'll post a couple pics when it takes a little more shape. I've got all of the small steps mapped out and will proceed steadily (maybe). Raymo, great pic...one of many beauties that suggest George just uses a fogger to put out  a cloud of dry brush haze across the whole layout....so consistently awesome and so consistently muted throughout all of the elements. The Master, to be sure.
