Thursday the 13th! (8/13/2020)
« on: August 13, 2020, 07:00:57 AM »
Morning all,

Thursday the 13th just doesn't sound as ominous as Friday the 13th does.   ::)

I can see the weekend coming into view at the end of the tunnel.  At least I hope that's the weekend.  Only chore for this coming weekend, pending delivery of  part which may/may not arrive in time, is to repair the ice maker in the fridge.  The water value is sticking open a little bit.  I've replaced it before so it shouldn't be too much trouble other than being down at the very base of the fridge.

Nothing to report from the workbench.  :(

Have a great one!

Good luck with your ice maker repair, Bob.    John, enjoy the time with your grandson!

Not much for me today except work, although today is my "Friday" as we work only four days per week over the summer. Alas! This is my last summer week. Monday the teachers return, and new student orientation a week from Friday.  Where did this summer go?

On another topic--tossing around ideas for my new layout to replace the old. I'm liking the idea of a fictional small northeast portage railway.  There were several around here and the scenic possibilities are getting my creativity flowing.

Good Morning All,

Plan for today is to lay the roundhouse tracks to the turntable and power them. Wish me luck.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Don't want to alarm anyone, but
We sit atop one of the highest hills in town, and with the expected rains today, are under a flash flood watch until after dinner. Guess I best skip the basement today and do a quicky, 1 to 1 build on an ark.
Stay dry, all.

Morning all.

Not as hot, but just as humid.  Periods when air simply isn't moving. I'm not that far from Chip, so some of his rain may hit my way.

Man oh man, do the LED panel lights make a difference!  Like the roof was taken off to let the sun shine in.

Have a fine day, all of you.

Morning, all.

Odd work day today.  Our clinic (pretty much all our clinics, but both Urgent Cares)  is still without power.  The ER is overloaded, so I'll be going there for 6 hours later today.  They're supposed to get a generator for the Family Practice Clinic West of us, and we may be working out of there as well until things get back to normal.  Are they EVER going to get back to normal?   :-\

It is my sincere, scholarly belief the the word normal will soon be dropped from Funk & Wagnalls.

Good evening , hope it cools soon , 86 F today in our store , we don't have an air-conditioning system, customers don't seem to be running away from it.

No modeling done for several weeks now , hoping to get the roof on my 1:1 project done next week when it cools down a bit.
I love photo's, don't we all.

Good evening from me as well. Almost at the end of a very long day. Quick pause between meetings. Man, that retiring thing sounds good.....

Another cloudy day in South Jersey.  So no beach. We needed a rest from the sun anyway.

Got to sit at the bench an work on the mill for 3 hours!

Everyone have a wonderful evening!!  :)
