If you really want to escape Facebook, you have to load blockers into your web browsers.  Every time you see a little FB logo on a webpage, it's Facebook -tracking you-.  And you have to periodically delete all cookies from "facebook" AND "fbcdn"

We desperately need laws to govern internet tracking, not just by the primary trackers such as Facebook and Google (this site uses Google Analytics), but all those shadowy companies that none of us have heard of who correlate and sell our data to other shadowy companies.   >:(

Morning all.

Late check in but chalk me up to the roster... I also deleted my Facebook last week. I was inactive for some years anyway, so the decision was a no-brainer. No idea why I hadn't done it sooner.

More to my 2021 Build later today. Might even finish.

Enjoy!

You guys convinced me that I not only needed to quit looking at Facebook but I need to delete my account. It felt good. Oh and thank you for the ride Facebook but I sold my stock, too. For me there is not longer any place for political debate on the internet - I will vote with my vote every time and with my dollars - there are a few companies that will not longer get my business.

Morning all,

Pam deleted her Facebook and I've declared my layout building a political free zone, unless you agree with me!  ???

Eye doctor app. at 10 AM.

Stay safe and have a healthy day my friends.

Laws won't stop them from snooping. After all, its been illegal to steal stuff for like eons and eons practically everywhere and still thieves steal every day.

Stop using a computer altogether and perhaps them facebook may never learn about you....

Funny, all the Facebook conversation.  Many years ago I created a page and uploaded a photo, but then somehow forgot my password (or typed it wrong) and could not log back in the next day. Nor could I get a password reset or any feedback on what to do from their helpdesk.

I finally gave up and forgot about it.  I think it may still be out there somewhere in the ether, floating around friendless and "unliked."  :)
