Hi folks time to start the I'm Dunn build , looking forward to suggestions, criticism and pretty much anything the evolves my building abilities.
I started first off by giving the castings a coat of Krylon Camouflage Khaki and will let them rest a bit.

I cut a 3/4" plywood for the base and at the same time as spraying the castings did the same to the diorama perimeter pieces and then used Aileens tacky to fix them in place.

Hey Lynn:

Looks good so far.

Moving forward a bit , I made up the 5 bents and added the nbw's and spaced them apart 1-5/8 with measured paper placed on the base between the retaining walls.  There is also a piece of stock for the coal ramp that's a spacer and then back to 1-5/8 .

Thanks guys hope I don't disappoint. Don't expect the speed building like Karl :)

I gotta make one of those egg carton strip wood organizers before I go much further.

Moving forward a bit , found one of Ensigns ( Greg) old post from his build at the RRL and made the egg carton stripwood organizers .

I started picking and colouring the wood , I'll be using Hunterline Driftwood. I had this bottle and a couple others on the shelf for a while.

There is a front wall that the ramp slopes down onto.

I got the ramp that's under the rail and between the bents installed.

Keep It Rusty

Great beginnings here! Loving that homemade stripwood holder! Consider it stolen... again.

Will be following along for the journey.

I got the 4 wooden floors done and the road ramp in. I had to order some Durhams water putty as per the instructions, I was just going to use plaster but decided to stick to the kit plan.
