Yorke Pool hall and Bordello in O scale
« on: November 17, 2021, 05:40:01 AM »
Hi all, I happened to change scales recently, from HOn3 to On30.
I have already built the kit in HO scale:

I then got this as a gift from a friend, the original Yorke kit of the Pool hall and Bordello in O scale, he had bought it 40 years ago...

The basic foundation was quickly put up:

I then decided to design an interior for the Saloon part.
I did the CAD work in Fusion 360:

I printed it on my Anycubic Photon S with water soluble resin:

I then assembled the parts:

I painted them with a mix of Tamiya colors:

That's the last of the interior pieces printed and painted for the Saloon, except for the chandelier...

I think it'll be nice when finished.

Graffen.....

Just terrific ! ! ! !    I especially like the board on the roof from the cornice falling apart,   Very cool.

Thanx

I primed the floor with Vallejo IDF sand:

I had some wallpaper printed out and glued it to the walls, it wrinkled nicely vertically, which made it more life like:

It's getting there:

Thanks! I really feel that I have to go the extra mile on this kit.
These first generation Pool hall kits are very rare today, and I quite prefer it over the new kit with all the changes they made on how it looks.

Thanks Karl!
I weathered the floor a bit and glued the interior in place.

Now for the rest of the detailing.  8)

Graffen,
Will follow along as your work on this classic kit.
The interior is great looking too.

Graffen,

The Yorke kits are really well done although I've never built one myself, I've seen many on other layouts. Love your barber interior, very well done.

Thanks!
I've started to paint the outside walls.
I use a variety of Vallejo and MIG paints.

I have just added the enamel panel line wash on the bricks.
