Lorrie did fantastic job on all those structures!  I see my next build in there - the FOS Radio Station.  I'm anxious to get started on that one but I want to wrap up the Red Light District first.   :D

Thanks Bob!  The last two structures are taking longer than she thought they would.  Missing windows and stripwood has slowed her down.  Fortunately, we had extra windows and stripwood on hand.  When she started the kit one of the walls in the first step was missing and she had to wait for it to arrive.  While waiting for the wall to arrive,  she built the Pub Crawl

Thank you for all the nice comments!

Life got in the way of our modeling for about ten days but we're back at it.  Lorrie is finished with all the structures and has been working on interior details.  Here's one that I took a picture of while she's away.  She should have the entire diorama ready to be installed on the layout this weekend

LHC,

I know what you mean about life getting in the way.  Irma sure disrupted my plans to finish this up this past weekend.   ;D  ;D  ;D

The interior looks terrific!

LHC,
Did you modify a figure to make the dancing woman?

Bob B, I hope the damage wasn't too bad for you and yours.  We were safe from Harvey in Ft Worth  but can't say the same for many friends and some family. I apologize for hijacking your thread :-)

Bob C, my wife picked that figure up on eBay.  The figures are  by Noch and called "The Red Light District" Very fitting.  Lorrie added the "highlights" or (headlights) :-)

Mike,   Thank you!  Lorrie said to tell you "hi" and she hopes we get see you at  another EXPO in the near future!

Thanks LHC!  Other than the inconvenience of being without power we're okay.  Could have been a lot worse so I shouldn't complain.

No worries about hijacking the thread.  I'm enjoying the posts.  Thanks again for sharing!

My apologies.  I finished (more or less) this one up a few weeks ago but have been remiss in uploading photos and updating the thread.  Finally got around to uploading the photos so here's a readers digest version of the final steps and finished product.   :-[

I got this little structure lighting simulator from Slim.  It controls three LED's and will turn them on and off in a fixed sequence.  It gives the illusion of our little people turning the light in a room on or off.

When I said little I wasn't kidding.  That's a dime it's sitting on.  :o

I tinned the wires before attaching them.  Oh yeah, I think I counted ten wires that had to be soldered to that little circuit board.   :P

Worse yet there are teeny, tiny resistors that have to be soldered, in line, with the wires running to two of the three LED's that the circuit controls.  This is the equivalent of soldering leads to those teeny, tiny LED's!

I had a few issues with my connections to the resistors but eventually got 'em secured.  I can't really show it here but I have one LED in the second floor of the Red Cat Theatre controlled by this and one each in the second and fourth floor of the hotel.  It's an interesting effect.

Now for the final pictures.  I added a FOS skylight to the roof of Mitchell's.  Here we see little Tommy and Billy snuck out on the roof to see what's going on inside.  Hope they don't get caught.   ;)

This thing is rather long.

My favorite end of the block.

Now for the 'night shots'.  Someday I want to replace the Tichy Street lights with lights that work.
