That's so cool! (not that you got hurt), but the logo.  Don't mind me, it's why momma told me to run with a pork chop while playing with the dog.  Thanx Thom...

Here's a quick sound test video of the sound   and the real sound sample with proper volume.    Thanx Thom...

Good snowy Sunday morning from central Massachusetts. We got half-a-foot or so. More than enough to require the snowblower to be fired up. Yup, she's outside while I sip coffee and read the forums. It's not that I'm lazy. I'd do it, but my wife is all about "If men can do it, women can do it better." - so I told her to "Prove It!" A one-hundred pound girl wrestling with a 36" 350 pound snow beast is pretty funny! Ya, I wonder why she stays with me too.

EXPO excitement is building on our end. We are trying to get a clinician many of you know. I can't wait to announce it if it works out. I'm a huge fan of this very talented modeler.

I guess I'll book my EXPO room. I'll be in an upper floor suite. They have grand pianos. My other hobby is making beautiful music.

I'm with you brother! except momma is tellin me to move my phat arse and go shovel, clean off the cars and go check the mail from yesterday.  I'm reminded of the adults from the Peanuts cartoon.   wha wha, wha whaa whah... yes ma'am!   Thanx Thom...

Morning all,

I spent the day with my Babe yesterday. While she was getting her hair done, I walked over to the old station in Tavares, Fl.

I heard a whistle and saw this train come through. Upon further questions, I found that this train is run at night as the Polar Express. The children get on free if they are wearing pajamas.

Love the F3A at the end. The old ACL colors are wonderful.

Have a warm day ya'll.

Nice video, you lucky Bas^*@#$!  What part of your layout was this shot?  KP-out...

The last overexposed pic, hopefully, shows the passenger holding a drinking cup in his left hand.  Thanx Thom...

Hi everyone!
Wanted to share pics of a fun rebuild & Dcc sound upgrade.  After stripping and soldering loose parts, I worked on articulating front bogie to traverse uneven track better.  Added all wheel pickups.  Added Zimo sound decoder with current keeper and nano led headlights, 2x3mm cab light and nano red led in a custom made rear lantern and peeling paint weathering.  Hope you enjoy!  One note here:  Bryan from The Streamlined Backshop helped me with the Zimo 4 cylinder gasoline sound file.  Very cool.

Air compressors - anyone ever tried a California Air Compressor?  Ultra quiet and a lot cheaper than an artists compressor.  I'm wondering if I'm missing something on these units.

Yes, you are. I've been using mine for a couple years now and it's quiet and runs smooth.  The youtube claims are true.  I do a lot of air honing & airbrushing.  I'm happy.  Thanx Thom...

Yup. of course like anything electrical, size matters.  On George's layout we have 4 of these type power supplies which run all his Hankscraft/tortoise stall motors and many led's (with resistors) and 10-12 volt bulbs. Thanx Thom...   I'm sure others here can give their great advice as well to better help your understanding on this topic.

Many choices for power supplies.  I would keep it simple.  something with a light and reset circuit breaker would serve you well.  A standard 10-12 volts with 3-5 amps is more than adequate for basic model railroading projects.

Here is a quick link for one idea for you.  Thanx Thom...
