Baggage Car - Daily Chat / Re: #11 Club

I have two Chopper scars on the top of my left index finger. Like Reading Bob, I was in to much of a hurry to remove some cut scale lumber.

I have two #11 scars on my right thumb and one on my right index finger.

Like my mother used to say, "When are you gong to learn"?

I guess I'm still learning.

I planted more palms around the layout.

Time for a Diet Pepsi. Back later this afternoon.

Remember the small green area behind the three horizontal tanks?

The next picture tells the rest of the story. I planned this area for some palm trees.

I see from this next photo I'll need to reset the roof.

Here is how it looks in the overall scene.

I was looking for something and found several small structures in a box under the layout. I found one that I though would fit in a spot near the Suwannee River Lagoon area. I don't remember who made the model but I do know it is at least 40 years old and came off a local store layout - another fallen flag layout.

Hey, what good is a southern red neck cracker layout without a back woods gun shop?

I used a wood chisel to clear the land for the gun shop.

This is really a wonderful scene Tom.  You really have a great sense of detail and how to frame a scene.

Mark,

Thank you, appreciated as always. I thought about the scene the better part of a year prior to staring on it. I have plans for tons of yard details for the open spaces inside the fence. More on this later next year.

Hey Tom...you should do this for a living ....

BEAUTIFUL (as usual!)

Donato,

Thanks very much my friend. That is exactly what my babe said the other day. I said I do do it for a living, MY LIVING!

I have no idea what else I'd be doing if I didn't have the empire to build and scenic.

Tom,
As usual, just a great, well planned, realistic (and superbly modeled) industry.  Your fences really frame the scene.  So much eye candy!  Wow!

Jerry,

Thank you, much appreciated. I really like my fences for this area. They turned out better than I expected.
