Wowser!  Those walls look great.  This looks like a neat structure from Kenny.  I'm definitely following along!

Morning all,

Great ad Dave K!  You're coming up with some really good ones.   :D

More workbench time today.  I'm working on some lighting and getting ready to start soldering wires together.   8)

Have a great one!

Morning all......

Trying to straighten out my mail order drugs for this year.

Jim

Good luck Jim!  I've been to Walgreen's four times since the end of December to pick up one of my prescriptions and they still don't have it right.  They're trying to charge me $567 for 30 pills.   >:(  Last year I paid $0 for the same medication.  They screwed it up and keep blaming it on the insurance company (who haven't been all that helpful either).  At least I think I finally figured out what they're doing wrong so maybe I can get it straightened out the next time I go in there (though they still won't be able to fill the prescription).  Sheesh...  >:(   >:(    >:(

Here's the kit I chose to build for Raymo's 2018 Build Challenge - the FOS Rothman's Pawn Shop & Thornhill Liquors.  All I have, so far, is the basic what comes in the box (bag in this case) shots.  I haven't actually started to build this yet but wanted to commit to the challenge and kick off the thread.   :)

Now the pressure is on.

A little background on this one.  I've built this kit once before.  I traded ACL1504 the finished kit for the unfinished kit.  My understanding is he leased the finished kit to Bill and Kris Cutler and it's starting to take root on their Pennsy layout.  They'd like to make it a permanent addition.  So.....I'm building the kit again and, when I'm finished they'll have a permanent replacement.   ;)

Because of the build challenge this kit kind of cut in line in my build queue.  Next up would have been the FSM Jewel Series #2 - Bailey's Produce Company for Cuse but there's no way I could have finished the time frame specified for the build challenge.  So I have to apologize to John.  Bailey's is sitting here right next to me and I'm anxious to get started on it but it'll have to wait a little bit.

The kit comes in a bag.

In the bag is a fairly detailed set of instructions.

A few signs and templates.

And the usual suspects.  Strip wood, doors, windows, chimney's, walls, etc.

It'll be a little while until I get rolling on this one so be patient.   ::)

Morning all,

I need to take advantage of the weekend and get some workbench time in today and tomorrow.  I haven't even started my Raymo Challenge build thread yet while some people, who shall remain nameless, are on their second, third and fourth build threads.   ::)

Have a great one!

Wow!  Lots and lots of progress being made on the Atlantic and Southern.   :o  I'd better wrap up the Radio Station soon.  Looks like it'll have a wonderful home.   :D

The pictures are great but the layout is even better when viewed in person.   ;)

Bob,

It has certainly been a progress filled week. Take your time on the Radio Station. I won't need it anytime soon.

Thank you for the very kind compliment on the layout, much appreciated.

Tom ;D

You'll probably be getting it soon anyway.   ;)  I'm nearly finished.  I'm working on the lighting.  Once that's finished it's just the large WKLO sign that spans the two buildings (three roofs) and I'll be done and can move on to the build challenge.  I'd have been done a long time ago but this working for a living slows me down a bit.   ::)

I'm in!  I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with this one Jeff.   :)

Two EXPO's in a row I wanted to pick up one of their kits but I'm batting 0 for 2.  Too many kits to choose from, not enough dollars to go around.   :(

Morning all,

Love that ad Dave.  Thanks!

I've been prepping a batch of LED's for the lighting phase of the Radio Station build.    :o  But now it's back to the old cube for the rest of the week.   :(

Cat powered.  This would be an interesting load for a modern day modeler to add to a flat car.

Have a great one!
