Good MOrning and good luck Jeff, hope it is good news. Had a great day yesterday with it being Deb's birthday as well as Mothers day. We had a great meal at a place called Prime 3 in Leesburgh. In addition I was able to pretty much finish up a little Campbell Kit I modified some. Today some investment work and finish up the odds and ends of kit as well as clean up. hHope everyone has a great day.

Good morning! I'm working on the railroad today, and stopped in for a cup of coffee. Dr. Jeff I hope everything works out for you and at the doctors.  MRI's and Doctors that like sharp knives don't sound good.

I hope everyone has a great day,

John

Baggage Car - Daily Chat / Floquil Color Samples
Last post by Keep It Rusty - Today at 08:47:16 AM
Hey everybody --

I am working with a well-known paint supplier to bring back some of our long-lost favorite paint colors from Floquil.

We are looking to recreate the following colors in acrylic and I need some paint chips/samples on some white paper. A well exposed/white-balanced photograph of them all would be all that is needed...

Driftwood
Roof Brown
Earth
Grimy Black
Depot Buff
Box Car Red
Coach Green

If any of you have these colors on your shelves still and can do this, maybe we can resurrect these colors in harmless acrylic form!

Thanks in advance.

Nice structure.  Looking forward to your new layout.  It will be interesting to see how you transition between the two areas.

Morning,

It is cloudy and rainy today. Food shopping is on the agenda and doing some trim work on the kitchen.

Modelling has been delayed, again. sigh!

Morning, all.

I have an appointment with the hand surgeon this morning to go over last weeks MRI results.

It's raining, and is supposed to do so pretty much until tomorrow afternoon.  Glad I got all the outside work done.

No kit nor layout work this weekend, maybe later today, we'll see.

It'll be interesting to see this come together.  I don't remember anyone doing a layout that had one part in the North and the other in the South.  Plus 1912 is a very interesting era to model, particularly for a period car fleet.

I thought I would catch up my story of the Holland Odessa Railroad and found it has been three years and a previous house when I had last posted, unbelievable, time is moving way to fast.

So I guess I will need to start from scratch. The layout I started with is gone, the structures were all saved but that was about it. The replacement layout will consist of a 'shelf' type L shaped switching layout highlighting NW Ohio in 1912 for one part of the L and 1912 in Central Florida for the second part. Since I will be starting over I need to pull some stuff together before sharing. In the meantime here is my weekend project just completed; a version of Campbell Kits Barrel Factory. It is suppose to be a corrugated structure but I am not really hot on that type of building so I made a modified version using clapboard siding and a ribbed roof. I simply used the diagrams and templates as well as the strip wood. Campbell instructions as some of the best and the drawings even better. It turned out a little more 'weathered' then I thought so might need to spruce it up a little but it will be located in a run down part of canal scene so we will see,
