...well, here's what I've been messing with.....most of you will remember a pic Dustin posted some time back of a neat antique shop.....lots of neat lines to it....and it really reminded me of a store not far from my grandparents place that took advantage of every inch of space....it was a grocery store, a mower repair shop, and a ladies dress shop...all under one roof.....so this is kinda where this one is headed....I'll keep you posted of what progresses....maybe I'll have something to show at this EXPO thing....
...this is all just test stuff for now, and determining if I like the proportions of it.....
Wow!!!!!! That looks great Jeff. I can't wait to see the rest.
...and here it is pretty much "test" cut...now some finishing touches to the CAD drawings and another actual cut....gotta make some window changes etc....more later...it's actually a little bigger than I had hoped....but I think the proportions work??
....I think it's 5 o-clock somewhere.... 8)
I like this, it's a building with interesting rooflines that doesn't look like it was designed to be "a building with interesting rooflines". Rather, it looks like it was added to (for logical reasons) over time.

Jimmy missed out on another one! ;)
I think I may have drooled a little. The great thing about this building is it actually sits right across from the railroad tracks. Its in a neat little NC small town. Jeff, the building really looks awesome.
Wowsers! Looking good! Yes, I'd say you've got the proportions right. 👍
Jeff,
Yep, just another one of your winners.
Tom ;D
Good looking kit Jeff..... 8)
Love the roof lines. The prototype's weathering would be challenging in a model. Too bad the upper window arrangement is not like the prototype. I will be watching.
Marty
.....windows fixed to match the prototype....the final CAD drawings are done and another test cut complete...will start the "final" test build shortly....will post pics as we progress....I intend to try to duplicate the weathered paint look etc. of the prototype....
...if Dustin was a good boy I'd send him one to play with.... ::)
...kep checking in....
...a little color added.....
👍👍👍
Jeff, I love the look of this building and the double windows on the 2nd floor help the look of the face of the building, BUT they look to high compared to the windows on the side. Just my 2 cents. Raymo
..thanks Dan..yep I've caught that...actually the front is not glued and the windows will line up after I do the foundation treatment of the rest of the structure...which will then allow for the sidewalk and docks to work right.....
Coooool 8)
Jeff, the building is turning out fantastic. I'm glad that you were use the images and run with it.
The Ledbetter's favorite store!!
Nice looking building Jeff!
