Title: SWSM - Passenger Station
Post by: martin.ojaste on March 10, 2015, 07:40:25 PM
I have finally finished the SWSM Logging Camp Passenger Station.

I've added some details and passengers and dock workers to the back side of the Passenger Station. Its a very busy station handling freight and people on two tracks.

The office end gets a few more details. The front side get the same treatment of adding details and people. I use Prieser unpainted figures and painted them "all by myself". LOL. The shed gets some details to help the viewer stay engaged.Enjoy.Marty

Great looking depot.  The colors and the extra details really make this scene come alive.  One can almost hear the local heading to this stop to pick up/drop off passengers.  Great work.  And, I know about painting figures.  I bought 120 unpainted Prieser figures off of e-bay.  Hope my eyes can hold up to the close work.  :-)

Very nice work.  Excellent color scheme for the depot.  I usually use the unpainted figures or overpaint some of the more garish colors on the painted ones as well.  Your people look great.

Beautiful work Martin. I believe this is the first close up of this model that I've seen.

Hi Martin:

Your station looks great. I like the colors and very light weathering. I'm going to make a suggetion and this was taught to me by George sellios. It's about you little people. they arn't weahterd and it makes them stand out to much. Try this next time. Light A&I wash and dry-brush very lightly with a light gray. It casues the figures to blend in with the rest of the model. Just a suggestion thought you might want to try.
