That is very nice of you to invite him, but you may want to have a few fire extinguishers strategically placed around the layout before he gets there. ;D
Great job with the scenes, but don't be stingy with the pictures...
Here is a city area I have been working on
Enjoy
Robert,
I love it!

Thanks Tom!!!
Nice work (and now I get to see what posting does for my Karma here)

Nice! I really like the waterfront area. Not much chance of my having one in my little lost Colorado valley.

Thoughts & Comments please????
Robert,
I had the privilege to visit your layout a couple (three?) years ago. You have accomplished so much since I visited, and this latest expansion is shaping up to be awesome! I love the "up front" location you have chosen for that beautiful station Frank built. I am looking forward to more photos of the latest expansion!
What an eye-catcher Frank's Station is , it looks perfect in that setting.

Robert,
Just got back on the forum and noticed you posted some more pictures of your layout and the station. I recognized the location right away. Thank you for putting it such a wonderful place. Now I want to see it in person, but I'm going to have to wait. Keep posting more pictures as you work on the scene. The relationship of the station and hotel are perfect. Seeing the station makes me want to start on the next one - for my layout. I made enough parts for three. yours, mine and my neighbor's. I am working on Chester where my station will go and have a couple of builds to complete the town. I'll post some pics once I get started on station #2. In the meantime, keep up the beautiful work. I hope everyone enjoys the building.
Happy New Year to you and your family.
All the best,
Frank / Erieman
Frank
As I promised if would have a awesome spot!!!
Also for all to know the hotel has a special meaning to me.
It is in honor of my father Art Seckler who passed away in April of this year.
I had a rough time w/ his passing and did not model for 2 months or so!!
When I finally got back into modeling ,I decided I wanted my first model to be in my fathers memory.
He and my mother loved B & B so Art's Hotel
So this for him!!
Rest in Peace DAD!!!
Robert,
Thanks for sharing the "back story" of "Art's Hotel". Everyone that reads this will appreciate the way you have honored your dad. My condolences on the loss of your father.

Robert,
Very sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. I lost mine in the summer of 2011 and think of him every day!
The location for the station seems the perfect spot. Art's Place is fantastic looking and the perfect location fit as well.

Robert,
The Ft. Edwards station looks great. Nice location. Like the buildings around it. The street view looks very, very good. Hope everyone likes the building. I will soon be starting my version of the station. I have about four more buildings to add to the town of Chester, then it is some scenery, lots of trees and it will be done. Keep up the great work my friend.
Frank / Erieman
Robert, I really like all the roof lines on that station, everything is looking great.

Thanks for posting the pictures Robert. It looks like it found a great home already. You're more than welcome for the build. I wanted to show my appreciation for the crew that brings us the EXPO. Anything I can do to help out you, Jimmy, Hal, Doug, Brian (did I miss anyone) is my pleasure. I may not make all of the EXPO's but I do plan on attending more of them in the future. :D

Thanks Frank! I really appreciate your kind words. :D
The Fox Mill Running looks really fantastic in that spot. Heck, it looked really fantastic in the box traveling North. I've never seen a Reading Bob structure I didn't like. He is the master of structures.
Did I happen to mention I love the fact he lives a few miles from the Atlantic and Southern RR? ;D ;D ;D ;D

Tom,
We are both lucky guys to know Reading Bob
As I promised bob it would have a place of prominence on the D&HV
Awesome work
Robert
Great spot for the Fox Run - and Bob you do great work! Did I mention that there would be room for a Bob Butts build on the S&S RR - I have a few of those Yellow and Red Boxes ;D . Just sayin. Great work guys - and Robert thanks for all the hard work on the EXPO.
John
No problem
Working on EXPO is my pleasure
It is a lot of hard work but it is well worth it to see and meet so many great people and Modeler's
We are already planning 2016
Stay tune
Robert,
When I filled out the survey for EXPO 2015 I believe I neglected to mention your and Brian's names. Certainly no slight was intended. I'll just chalk it up to a senior moment.
However, I do want to thank you for all your hard work in the contest room and participation in making the EXPO a great experience for us all.
Thank you very much.
Tom L.
Bob's build looks geat in its new home..... 8)
Great location for a great build! Robert doesn't let the static grass grow under his feet when he's working on his layout.
Looks great Rob; I like the natural way it sits in the scene. It's an excellent build of Fox Run; I saw it at the Expo and it has the some of the best concrete I've seen.
Doug
Great photos ..
Thanx

Thanks for the nice comments on my build. That was the first time I did a diorama using that material for the concrete streets. Before I used it on Fox Run I experimented with it on a piece of GatorBoard and documented it in this thread: Arizona Rock and Mineral Co. - Concrete Paving Material (http://modelersforum.com/index.php?topic=820.0). I'm sure there's a lot of tips and tricks about using this stuff that I haven't learned yet. :D
I still have to experiment with their Asphalt Paving Material. I have some but haven't tried it yet.

Robert,
Thanks for posting the pics of Chester station and Reading Bob's beautiful structure. Its been a long time since your last post. "All work and no play makes jack a dull boy". you need to smell the roses and spend more time on your layout. The station position looks great. I'm considering on going to Amherst either 2016 or 2017 and I will make sure that I get up to see the progress on your layout. hopefully, MR will have printed the continuing saga of the D&H. Everything looks wonderful. I especially liked Raymo's comment!!!

It's been a while since I posted pictures of new expansion of D&HV, I was busy getting layout ready for another. Photo shoot by MR
Here is Fort Edward area all done and detailed and yes I had Lou Sassi take pictures of it hopefully it will make the cut for the magazine article.
Also there is another area just to the right that I have working on loads of FSM & SRMW kits as you can see
Enjoy
Sorry pictures are upside down working on it
But if you expand they view right side up
Go figure

Robert,
The new photos look great ! Looks like you have been busy on the workbench getting those structures out of the boxes and onto the layout.
Enjoyed watching the FOS DVD on your railroad too. Your are having fun and that's what it's all about.
Tom
Yay! Now the small images display right-side-up, and so do the large ones when I click through.
Tom,
Thanks
More pictures later, now I fiqured out picture posting
Robert
The pictures and the layout look great. I will be following along. Let us know if the magazines decide to publish.
Thanks John
Not sure when but they have already paid for it
Last time it took 18 months
I hope it doesn't take that long
Here are a few more pictures of layout
I like these photos too.
Robert,
Great photos of your fantastic layout. Thanks for sharing.

Will try and post more tonight just finished a Seaport freighter for new harbor scence.

Here some pictures of a Seaport modelworks freighter going in new waterfront area

Layout looks great. Superb structures.
In my book, a Fos video > MR article....not even close.
John
Nice job on the skiff. ;D
What a skiff??
I am just kidding!!
You know what it needs>>>>>>
Trucks
Then you should have built a ferry. ;D
That's next but we put cars on a ferry
Silly
Great job on the freighter Rob, Seaport Models also has a very nice ferry. I'm in the middle of building one myself, for the new harbor scene I'm working on.
Sam
Sam,
Thanks
Will you be entering it in EXPO contest room??
All,
Here is new harbor area in expansion on the layout
And first design it was 2 buildings and a couple of ships
My good friend Doug got me going with the original Salt Neck 2 to start
We then decided it should have a car float, then we added another 2x4 feet to end of peninsula
It will be very similar to Red Hook pier in Brooklyn
Enjoy
Also here is a city to right of new harbor

No I won't be entering anything this year in the contest room, maybe next year.
Keep us informed on the new harbor
Sam
Robert, it is an interesting little corner for the scene.
Awsome pic's!!
Looking good Robert!
Robert,
Ditto to all the other comments, its all looking good.
Tom ;D
Hi Robert:
Looks great. keep the photos coming.
Karl
Thanks everyone
I was able to hind a spot for car float next to mocked up building
I will be kit bashing one of the Walthers ones
More pictures later
Here are pictures on layout edge we I was able to fit more buildings
I am addicted to building craftsman kits
Enjoy
Looks great. I especially like the one with the green roof.
John
Robert,
I love the Whalen Avaries structure. I have the FOS kit but have yet to get it built. Like Cuse said, the green roofed one is good as well. Great job.
We all love structures and pictures.
Tom ;D
Ok
Here are a couple of pictures of new city
Also here is a new lighthouse that will mark harbor entrance
That looks great. Is the whole base for the lighthouse hand carved (stones too)? I want to do stuff just like that on my new layout. I want to elevate structures all over the place to create engineering challenges and interest throughout...really nice work!
Is your layout going to be on the EXPO tour?
John
Nice buildings, but I wouldn't dare put them that close to the layout edge.
John, I doubt his layout will be on an organized Expo tour, because he's about 3.5 hours drive from Danvers, MA.
Robert,
Keep up the great work. Everything is looking awesome. I need to get up your way next year and take a good look at your progress. Keep posting,
Frank/ Erieman
John,James&Frank
Thanks for kind words
And John is correct not on tour about 3.5 hours south of expo,
But my layout is always open when I am home.
If you are traveling by car on Sunday afternoon this way,we should be back from EXPO
Let me know

More
Good Morning Robert,
Not idle hands on your railroad. I enjoyed the recent issue of MR and thank you for including my station in the article once again. Where do find the time to get all this done? Lou did another spectacular job. How long ago did he do the photo shoot? I'm going to wait at least another year for mine because I asked that it be in Great Model Railroads. Now it is time to work on the large steel mill complex and finish the city before he comes back. I have asked him if he would be a guest speaker at our regional NMRA convention in the fall of 2019. Keep up the beautiful work. Try to get a group together to come to Amherst, but not having much luck because most don't want to experience snow and cold.
All the best to you and your family.
Frank / Erieman
Robert,
In the fourth picture down from the top, I think I see FSM Stuffy's Brewery to the right above the crane and Department of Docks on the wharf. Excellent modeling.
More pictures please!
