The cannery is under repair . They said it will be another year before they are finished.What they have finished looked very nice. Not too many groups go to Prince Rupert
Machine Shop. A nice model railroad and a model of the cannery was located here. Also a large lionel 3 rail layout with a lot of cars and engines also located here.

The cannery is very remote from Prince Rupert. These are the actual pictures of the house that the workers lived in. They had there own store such as coal mines had and they "owned their soul" to the company store.

Equipment used in fish process canning. The can making operation was on the 2nd floor and our guide did not have time to go up there. That was one area I wanted to see.
The first picture are of the vessels that cooked the Salmon cans. He said they found one of them in the mud under the building. The last picture is of one of the tanks. It was used in the reduction of the fish excess part. They used to throw them into the river and the birds would be fed. They then came up with a way to do what ever they did with them. He did not go into detail about it.

That's all folks!! It was a really nice place to visit. I am glad that it was saved . we only had 45 minutes in the building I could have stayed for hours.
