All,
Any interested in purchasing Boston & Maine F units once owned by Lou Sassi
1 set AB in Boston & Maine minute men paint DCC & Sound
1 set AB in McQuiness Paint scheme for B & M DCC & Sound
Both were custom painted and appeared in couple of his scenery books
I have a letter from Lou stating ownership and will go with sale
If interested let me know and I will forward pictures
Thanks
Do you know what kind of F units and/or who manufactured them? The B&M owned AB sets of FT, F-2, F-3 and F-7, but the only ones that got McGinnis paint were a few of the F-2s and F-3s.

Yes both are Stwerts /w KATO drives
Not sure what type of F units

Robert,
are you putting these up on EBAY or do you have a set price?

Was not thinking of putting them on eBay as most people won't appreciate
Yes I would like to get what I paid Lou for them
I brought them when he toke down his layout and moved to North Cariliona
If interested make me a fair offer
And I will consider
Thanks
They must have Magna-traction to be able to operate upside down! ;D :P
Thanks, Robert. That is a neat trick where the thumbnail is inverted but the big picture you get by clicking it comes out right.
The maroon set is F-2A 4257, originally purchased 1946 as one of 15 separate A units to MU with FT A/B sets in freight service. The B unit has no visible number. Both have steam generators and their grab iron arrangement indicates pre-1950.
The McGinnis set is F-2 A/B 4224, purchased 1946 as one of three A/B sets for passenger service. The B has a steam generator. The grab irons indicate post-1950, that paint was applied in late 1956, both units were wrecked Nov. 1957.

Nah, that's not Magne-Traction. Actually, they were shipped to new homes in Australia and New Zealand. ???

Okay - now I understand. I tried flipping the iPad upside down but it wasn't having no part of that.
Im not that educated / savvy into things like this regarding value for sale price. I like the minute man paint scheme set....could you PM me with what your asking for them? Are they functional?
Thanks
Bob c.
Sent you a PM with pricing
