Well it's back across the tracks to the Co-op. Time for the Co-op store I took a picture of the building as it looks today which is about how it looked in the 1950's The first store was the cinder block building behind the steel one. The steel building was added sometime in the late 50's Attached to the block store is a wooden addition, It has a loading dock and the tire warehouse. The small garage behind is the small engine and lawnmower repair shop.

I will be starting this very soon, still waiting for a few building supplies. Hope you all follow along on this project, with the different building materials and the many add ons it should be fun.
This looks like a great project - I will be following along.
Andy..
I love buildings that are add-ons of add-ons.
They are a self contained time capsule.
I'm on for this one
see ya
Bob
Andy,

I decided to use a pikestuff kit for the metal building, I found one close to size but it will need a little tweaking. The block building will be built from basswood sheet and covered with Rusty Stumps cement block sheets. The wooden additions will be made from basswood. I ran out of space so the small garage in the back will not be modeled. Every thing is on order so all I have to do is wait. In the mean time I will be getting the site ready.
Ok , all the supplies are here. Going to start with the metal structure first. This Pikestuff kit is for a one, two or three story building. I only need one so I have some cutting to do. Also move the doors and windows to where they belong. The front two entry doors are on an angle, should be fun. Here is what I have to start with.

weathering and signs will come when the whole building is done.
While everyone else was partying in New England I was home slaving at the work bench. I have part two of the store built with the block on ready for paint.

Thanks Jim for looking. I have one more addition to add and then the loading dock.

I still have a 1949 Nash to build, and some scenery to do then it will be layout time.
Nice build. Great signs.
Jeff
Thanks Jeff , sometimes I think I might over do it with the signs
another great job Andy
Thanks Rich.
Good looking structure Andy
Jim
Andy....
Very cool.
The truck is great. I really like the K series Chevrolet 41-46 years.
Thanx
Bob
Thanks guy's for the comments.
Bob, it is from CMW. I got it mainly because I already had the Decalb seed sign and the truck was a perfect match.
Just a few more details to finish nd I can get it on the layout.
Thanks again for looking!
Alan, I'm confused with one sign? Why the Firestone sign? Where is the service entrance, tires, etc?
Martin, the tires were stored in the room under the sign, the building for tire service isn't modeled because of not enough room. The tire shop sits right behind this building.
