G'day all
Half way through building his nice little kit I noticed that there were some parts missing.
Nothing that can't be found in my scrap box BUT what I really need is the card B template to make the coal bins.
I've emailed Doug a couple of times over the last month but without success. I appreciate he's probably busy with kit manufacturing and his involvement with the upcoming Expo.
I don't want to hassle the guy anymore and come across as a whinger and complainer.
So, I'm hoping one of you guys who might have built this kit could do me a big favour an email me a copy of the missing card B so I can finish the coal bins.
Really appreciate what help you can offer.
Cheers
Bagman
Oh crude. I just built that kit not too long ago but I'm pretty sure I tossed the instructions and templates after I finished it. I'll look but I doubt I have them. Hopefully someone can lend some assistance. Just in case you weren't aware of it when you send an e-mail to Doug on something like this be sure to include "MISSING PARTS" in the subject line of the e-mail as recommended on his website.
Doug was away on vacation until recently (he posted some great Northern Lights photos on Facebook.) If you don't get any response, ask someone going to the Expo to bug him in person :-)

David (Bagman),
I have the kit and Card B you need. Send me your address via PM and I'll get it in the mail to you down under. Or, I can scan it and send it. Let me know. If I scan it, it may loose some of the exact dimensions.

Tom, if you go with scanning the instructions, think about including 2 rulers on the scan (one vertical, the other horizontal). That way there's a reference to make sure the scan and the subsequent print-out can be checked for accuracy.
It's important to do this in both dimensions, I had a couple of printers that printed 100% in one dimension, but 96% in the other. That was back in the previous millennium, but it's better to be safe than find out the hard way your printer has this problem.

Dave,
Great advice. I'm just going to send them to David when I get his address.
I have two kits.

Thanks for that info Dave. I was unaware of Doug being on vacation. That explains a lot.
Everyone is entitled to time off....unless you are retired then it's one long vacation !
