Okay boys and girls, here is one of three videos of George Sellios Franklin & South Manchester railroad shot from the trackside perspective while attending the recent 2016 EXPO in Danvers, Ma. I used a Mobius, HD Wide screen 1080P video camera mounted a flat car. The first video is with the camera in front of the engine. Video two will be the view from the rear of a train. special Thanks to George Sellios for letting me shoot his awesome layout and to Thom Driggers for doing all the video editing. http://www.thomscustomtrains.com/videos.html (http://www.thomscustomtrains.com/videos.html) or https://youtu.be/ioU1ANL9rJA (https://youtu.be/ioU1ANL9rJA) and https://youtu.be/_x_tirYQb1k (https://youtu.be/_x_tirYQb1k)

Due to technical difficulties and my lack of computer skill, I made an error. It is now corrected. Enjoy the video, my Friend.

Okay!
Great videos! It even caught me paying George cash. ;D With this technology in mini cameras everything can be seen in Hi-Def.
Okay,
There is a second video taken from the back of the train: https://youtu.be/_x_tirYQb1k (https://youtu.be/_x_tirYQb1k)

Frank, I didn't think it could get any better than the pictures, but the video is SUPURB!!
Frank,
When are you going to George's to film more great videos? Perhaps you could be the next Allen Keller? Good job on the vids. Traveling to layouts and filming could be your next great thing!
Thom...
Wonderful video Frank and great job on the editing Thom. I'm happy I was there to see it all.
Tom
Tom,
Me too! ha. It was nice to meet & get to know all you guys a bit. Wish we had more time together. Perhaps again in 18 months!
Thanx Thom...
Frank,
These are the best videos that I have ever seen for a model railroad. Fantastic!!!!!! Can't say enough.
WoW!! Thanks Frank and Thom, just wonderful videos. A lot has been said about the great structures on the F&SM and justifiably so, but these videos impressed me. The trackwork is just outstanding. The videos show a very SMOOOOTH run over the rails, no jitter or shakes, no bumps across joints.....just plain silk. I've seen many "ride along" model railroad videos and they all suffer (not the video, but the railwork) from one ilk or another.

Thanks Andy.
It was a pleasure to video George's layout and to watch him really smile when he saw it. While the video shows you areas not normally seen from the aisle or photographs, the video has found many areas unseen. It show the true mastery of George Sellios. We owe a lot to him.

That's why visiting the F&SM is number 1 on my bucketlist.
Frank - the video was tremendous! It gave me the chance to appreciate the full scope as well the minute detail of the layout. Thanks for your efforts. Jim
Great video. If you want to take in even more details, try this. On the video screen there is the gear icon. When you click this you get the option to change the speed of the video. I chose the half speed and shut off my sound. You get a "slow motion" rendition of the video with more time to take in more detail.
Whaaat! More detail? Oh! no! not that!!!
Frank and Thom,
Watched all 3 videos and the quality of them is beyond fantastic . All items on George's layout showed up well in detail, especially all the back sides of the buildings along the right of way. Never knew it took that long to have a train travel one time around the room.
Tom
I watched all three videos last night on a big screen. It felt like I was riding in the cab myself. Also I loved the giants. They looked so realistic. I wonder what method George uses to create them.
Thank you Frank and Thom.

Jim,
The video at trackside level really offers a different perspective of the wonderful creation of George Sellios. The next real person that should be noted is Thom Driggers, who spent countless hours editing all the video that was taken. That was the real work. All i did was put the camera flat car on the track and push a button to start the camera. Now that wasn't hard. Glad to read your response.

I like the way you think. Somehow, the gear button does not show the speed function on my computer. Sounds interesting though.

Vilius,
Great talking to you at the convention dinner. I need to find a big screen to watch the video. As far as the giants, Thom doesn't have an eraser that big. I agree, The ride thru George's layout is truly awesome.

Frank,
The half speed of the video really brings the layout close to you. You have more time to take in all the sights.
Now, go and find your speed button.

Special note: Tom, Donato and other mention the speed button and I could not find it. I called Tom and found out what to do to see it in slower speeds. My browser did not show that function. So-o-o, Open You Tube in Google Chrome and then link the video and up pops the video with the settings function. AWESOME. Thanks Tom. So-o-o-o much more to see this way. Awesome in spades.

Hi Guys,
I guess some have been having difficulties with opening this webpage http://www.thomscustomtrains.com/videos.html to view the F&SM rr videos. I'm told if you can't get on then clear your cache, clear your cookie history and restart your computer. Also try using Google chrome or incognito most seem to have this work for them. Sorry for any problems this may have caused. Thanx Thom...
