Hi everyone :)
This is my newest kit build - my first FOS kit also. I chose this and Hooper's Oysters to compliment my Seafood Emporium diorama. Both kits will share the same pier. This is as far as I can go on this kit until I figure out placement and dimensions for the pier itself. I am also going to use another FOS kit: Genco Olive Oil. I will convert it into some type of marine supporting business. I chose it for the small footprint and the interesting roof line. It lends itself to a seaport-type structure.
I am learning rust! Every time I do corrugated siding/roofing, it turns out different! I like the coloration on this one.
Enjoy!
Kimberly
Great job Kim , your weathering is awesome , thanks for sharing.
Wouw nice Kim
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Those structures will make for a great scene with Emporium as the centerpiece. Thanks for sharing your work!
Kim,
That is a beautiful mess! Very unique finish...can you do a little tutorial of how you get that degree of weathering (or direct me elsewhere). I would love all of my structures to show that degree of wear. Makes me think of some of the really great On30 guys like Troels Kirk's stuff.
Thanks for sharing. Really great!
John
I like the rust, too. And the rest of the structure as well.
Jeff
That is wonderful! :D :D ;D
I have this one, sitting on the floor in my bedroom on top of Emporium Seafood and Execution Rocks. All waiting to be built. Someday. ::)
Kimberly,
I love the kit and what you have done with it.

Hey Kim,
Looks outstanding. The Reds and Greens you chose for this building look great together. I also like your rust you placed on the panels...especially at the front of the building right above the front door.
Well done.
Alan
Beautifully done Kim. Take your place along with the other masters here.....especially love that rotten sliding door.
Outstanding work Kim. I will be watching for the rest of this diorama.
Jim
Kim, nice job on the build and weathering.

Like those before me - great job! First class weathering - you have the eye.
Kim,
What a great looking build. The green lower base is realy different. Did you use DR BENS on everything? As we talked about the other day you gave it the "Furlow Weathering Touch"! To be honest with you if I can get it touch with Malcolm I will have him look at this build.
Back in the day Malcolm did some "KINKY" weathering however I think this passes him by. Can not wait to see Hoopers.

Hi Kim:
There's A FOS Scale kit I haven't built and I've built most of them. As someone else mentioned what a beautiful mess. Great colors and weahtering. Keep the photos coming.
Karl
Kim, you got the corrugated colouring and wear just right!

I don't want to steer the thread in the wrong direction but it looks like we have a special occasion to celebrate. "The kit that Karl hasn't built does exist!" ;D

Hi Vilius:
Yep there's a few I haven't. Actually there are lots.
