I decided to do a second build for the challenge to have something to work on while I am waiting for paint and glue to dry on Rustys Radiator Build.
Here is a picture of the parts and instructions as the bag was opened. I have all the walls braced and some of the parts and the walls primed and/or painted. I never have liked working with metal roofing, so I may change it to shingles before I get that far. There are still some items to paint during the drying process on Rustys.
continued as the glue dries.
Watching........ :)
Butty Jim,
I'll be following along as well.
Tom ;D
Me too ;D
HI Jim:
I will also be following along.
Karl
Hi Jim,
I'll be watching as well. I don't recall much about this kit and I know I don't have it in my stash. Should be fun.
Me too..... :)
Thanks to all for following this build.
As soon as I get somethings finished on Rustys, I will be back on this one.
Jim
Jim

Thanks Mark hope you enjoy all my mistakes.
Jim
I got all the parts primed and painted. I used Floquil SP Lettering Gray for the walls and Creamcoat acrylic Hunter Green for the windows and trim. The Dock is being stained with Floquil Oak Stain.
While all this is drying I can go back and finish up on Rustys
Continued soon ( not a Pepsi Break)
Hi Jim:
Dunbar's is looking good so far. Can't wait to see more.

Thanks Karl,
I hope to get a lot more done today.
Jim
The walls are painted, windows and doors are installed and the signs have been mounted. The windows are Gallery Glass and as soon as that dries the wall assembly will start.
The Deck, the flooring, the side frames, all the posts, bracing and the floor beams for the little extension have been stained with Floquil Oak Stain. The little pieces of stained wood on the floor of the deck are cut offs used to cover the post holes in the deck. This makes sure the posts will be even on the bottom. The Deck is now ready for the Building. I also painted all the Milk Can with Floquil Stainless Steel as I could not find any Poly Scale Aluminum.
I have decided to use Bar Mills Shingles on the roof of both the main building and the small attached shed
more tomorrow if it rains tonight
Jim,
Your just building right along. You on a deadline or something. Never mind, I am so I'll keep quiet.
Great start by the way.
Tom ;D
Coming along fine Jim , great colors and signs.
Add the Bar Mills Shingles will be a good idea.
Nice work so far ;)
Looking good Jim.
Jim,
Like the colors & look forward to the walls getting attached.
I agree Bar Mill is the way to go. Will you go with Brown or Grey shingles

The walls are in the assembly fixture and should be done by tonight. I am going to use Bar Mills Brown Shingles on this one. I think they will match better.
Jim
I assembled two walls with glue and put them in the corner of the Assembly jig, then I repeated the same with the other two walls. I also assembled the three walls of the attached shed in the Jig. Now I just have to wait for the glue to dry
I Shingled the three roof sections using Bar Mills Shingles in Brown. I covered the panels with 3M transfer adhesive and applied the shingle strips and then cut off the excess ends with some small shears. This is the finished roofs in flat condition.
Jim,
The shingles look good. I understand shingles hurt like the devil.
Tom ;D
Looks good!
You can add a grey/green colour wash, just looking to add some shades there (I did it on my Oakleaf build).
It's only an idea!!! :) :)
Well the glue finally dried, so I assembled the building and mounted the roofs.
The building is mounted on the platform. I put the milk cans on the platform and added a couple of figures. I did some chalk weathering to make it look like a track side building.
Here is the finished building. The only thing to be done is to install the two supports under the attached bump out and build the retaining wall. This can't be done until it is mounted on the layout sometime in the future.
Nice work Jim!

Thanks for you comment, I appreciate them.
I don't think I will ever be as fast as Karl. This was a simple kit compared to what Karl doers in half the time.
