Me too. This one's a really fun build. I built it for Tom in his railroads green and white color scheme and lightly weathered. It looks totally different than the one on the FSM. I can't wait to see how Karl's turns out. :D
Hi Karl,
I am going to follow along on this one. I built this from plans in the December 1956 Model Railroader when I was in High School. I recently refurbished it if you remember. Pictures were posted on the forum.
I'm in too. This station looks really interesting and seems to be a jewell once builded ;)
Karl,
I remember the first one so I'll be following along on also.
Tom ;D
Hi Jim, Reading Bob, Steve Drees, Pollux And Tom:

Hi Guys:

Karl
Hi All:
doors< windows and walls are painted.
Karl
Hi Guys:
Finished the dormer for my station. Thought I'd build some of the add on stuff first. It is Depot Buff & Depot Olive.
Karl
Electrifying Karl ;)
Hi Jan:
Thanks. Much appreciated.
Karl
Hi Guys:
got some work done this afternoon. I'm taking a slightly different approach with this kit. I'm building all the ad on first. Just finished the platform for the freight house. It will be next. Here's a photo of the platform.
Karl
Karl, terrific platform!
Lovely paintwork :)
Hi Pollux:
Appreciate your compliment. I'm working on the freight house next. Walls are painted and am starting on the inside studding on the walls. Pics soon I hope.

Karl

Hi Steve and MK:
Thanks for the great compliments. Got the freight house walls assembled today. On to its roof. Here's a few photos.
Karl
Well....I couldn't find my pictures of my finished build on my PC so I 'borrowed' a couple of the pictures Tom took of it on his layout. ;)

This is probably the only FSM kit I've every built where I didn't try to copy George's pilot model with regards to colors as well as the degree of weathering. For Tom's railroad I wanted the station to look reasonably well maintained and, of course, it was done in his standard colors. It gives it a totally different look than the original.
Karl,
Will follow along on your build. Only person that I know of with that station built out here is Art VanDeWater's model on his layout.
Tommy
Hi Bob:
Very cool. Now that I see the photos I remember your build. You did a great job with it. The colors are very nice.
Karl
Hi Tommy:

Karl
Hi Guys:
As I said you can fix any mistakes you make. In the last photo I posted the bottom right wall is the rear wall of the station. I assembled it backwards. Here it is taken apart and reassemble. Require a lot of cutting through the bracing and some sanding. Here's a photo of the corrected wall.
Karl
