I found this on Google:
Quick guide for using "Link Inline Image" when posting a topic
example:
you are going to post an article and you have 3 photos to go with it, but you want to place the photos at specific points in the text.
after typing the text, in desired order of display, browse for the photos you want to attach.
next place the code where you want each attachment to display in the text.
[attach=#]
where # is replaced by the order number of the attachment - i.e 1, 2, 3 etc
first image attachment to go here (where # = 1) [attach=1]
then the 2nd image (where # = 2) [attach=2]
and then the 3rd image (where # = 3) [attach=3]
Also note; images won't display until post is saved, once saved you can "modify" the post if you need to 'fine tune' attachment position. Image thumbnails are displayed in the post, but if you click the image, then a larger version appears.
IMAGE 1
[attach=1]
IMAGE 2
[attach=2]
IMAGE 3
[attach=3]
And it doesn't work. HELP!
I think the SMF software might need to be modded first. Seems like there are some mods that allow you to display a full size image or thumbnail depending on the command.

Or even worse - start a travel fund to send Gnat up that way!!
Doug , you need to install the mod to use this, It's the first mod on this page http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Other/SmfMods/index.html (http://www.donationcoder.com/Software/Other/SmfMods/index.html)
Note I haven't used this on our forum yet so I don't know if and how it works.

Ahem... The mod is not available due to dispute with the SMF people.

This is the attached image above.
I right-clicked the thumbnail and copied its URL. I then used the [img] tag and pasted in the URL.

Ditto.

There. I've placed an attached image inline. It's cumbersome and requires modifying the post. But it can be done.
Now start posting your photos, everyone.
Jaime
p/s And I did it all from my iPad so I know anyone using a PC can do it.
Perhaps the admins can try this mod:

Actually , the mod I linked to can be downloaded from there Jaime, I think they mean the mod itself is not used on that forum.
If you have a Dropbox account (FREE) you can put any photo you want to use in your Dropbox Public folder, grab it's public link and then use that in here.
