At the 2016 Expo several of us spent several hours with George Sellios and his famous F&SM railroad model.
I think John Siekirk and I took thousands of pictures.
When John hosted the F&SM RR from the air, we showed thousands of those pictures.
I used two different cameras and had four memory cards. I have now located the two missing cards containing more F&SM pictures taken in March of 2016.
I'll post them here for viewing and copying to your own files if desired.
Many may be the same or close to the old ones as there are just to many to keep track of.
I'll start the extra pictures of the Muddville area first. After that they are all over the place. The Muddville area is mainly made up of Kings Mills backdrop photos on stiff backing. George added his casting to many of the structures/photo backdrops.
I'll try to add several every other week or so.

Hi Tom:
Great photos. Thanks for posting. And saw you comment you are working on my CD. Thanks buddy.

Karl,
You are welcome. Ref. the CD, I didn't realize I had so many of you structures pictured in my Karl S. file.

One problem I had in this area, the hallway when you first go up the stairs, was the lighting. George has floods and incandescent lighting here.
My camera kept seeing red and the photo backdrops were also a redish color.
What you see is the best representation I could get.

Second that , although a trip to the F&SM is very high on my bucket list.
Cannot say enough about these new pix. Since y first visit to the F&SM last summer I've become something of a zealot about it. I'm going back this year...just waiting for the open house dates.
Earlier someone asked if George owns the building. I don't want to tread on personal ground, here, but I've been thinking a lot about what can be done now to begin planning for the layout's preservation. Thoughts?

Jimmy bought the molds and the casting making equipment is my understanding. As to thoughts on the layouts preservation - does anyone have pull with the Government. It would make a wonderful Historic Preservation Site. It certainly is a work of art.
George is making lots of changes to the layout in his retirement. I have talked to him about doing another photo shoot in a year or two when he is ready.
Tom thanks for sharing your newly found pictures.
How about a new building at the Suncoast Center? 😃

Dave,
I have a couple hundred more or so.
I believe George does own the building but I understand some in Peabody a applying pressure to buy the entire block along with the F&SM building.

Jan,
I can't remember, honestly. Since we were there from around 10 AM til after 2:30 PM it is possible. As I said, George had some pretty strong lights in this area. The lights were shining on the photo backfrops.
This area was very realistic as a whole. I think it was about 20-25 feet long.

I think for me the one thing that stands out in George's work is his use of signs and billboards. I love all of his layout but those are for me the things that make the scene's cry out George Sellios.

Jan,
I agree. A building without a sign is just a building. A building with a sign is a wonderful thing.
Thank for checking in.
