Hey All,
Here is a scratch build I threw together for a member here. I had some spare time, and some spare pieces around. He was Surprised to say the least.....
Thanks for taking a look...
Loren...

I was the lucky recipient of this fantastic build. And yes, I was more than surprised when Loren presented it to me. It will find a nice home on my layout!
Hi Loren:
Very well done. Colors are great and I like the roof shingles.

9 Fingers Loren,
Advice on the scratch building the FSM signal tower that appears to copy (again) one that George did a million times with that crap poor weathering and glazed over windows because you're too lazy to build an interior with wrong colored bricks, crooked cut wood pieces that only could amount to be used in a campfire and don't get me started on that ridiculous roof.
Would be monumental advice not to listen to in any way for the reason your modeling skills are second to none. Scratch building talent is something we all strive for, but you've obviously have mastered and made look easy. George would be proud to know his influence still inspires to graduate with honors, modeling students who actually get it.
9 FL, what a treat to see, can't wait to see this installed in a completed scene whether on a diorama or a layout. Thanks for sharing Mandinga! Thanx Thom...
Beautiful modeling Loren.
Two thumbs up! I'd give it more but I only have two thumbs. ;D
Absolutely gorgeous!

Karl,
Thanks so much. The shingles are WildWest models that I had left over from a previous project.

9 Fingers Loren,
Glad you got a chuckle, my friend. That was my goal, but remember I'm a legend in my mind and no one else can get in...(except the little woman), she always seems to know what I'm thinkin'. Go figure?
Thanx Thom...

Steve,
Thanks....I used Monster Modelworks aged brick, with Bragdons Used brick chalk as a base paint. I than used heritage brick, brick red, Georgian clay, charcoal gray, with a sponge leopard spot method, for variations in color. I Than sealed it with a matte sealer, than used Bragdons lime mixed in alc for the mortar lines.
