Glad you brought this up.  I was on a trip to Tombstone,AZ with Brian Bollinger (BEST Trains) a few years back and on the way after leaving Pheonix we saw this bad boy sitting on the other side of a fence right next to the road.  I thought it was steam powered at first when I saw the smoke stack (gotta love the ornate detail on it), but then realized it was actually gas powered.  I don't know about ya'll, but  I'd hate to have to drive that thing while standing next to the radiator on an August afternoon in AZ.

The eccentric with the ball hitch on the right side rear wheel is interesting.  There's not one on the other side.  And, I'm not sure what those two Wheelie wheels? on the back are for.

Great pictures - I was hoping more members would start adding to these threads.  The chain steering must have been a real sales feature for this piece of equipment. I think this will be a great reference once we get it going. Thanks for sharing.

No problemo.  I have a bunch of pictures of all kinds of things I've taken over the years.  I put them in a safe folder and them forget about them until someone jogs my memory.  I wish I had more on this subject.

There use to be a caboose motel on the 5 hwy near the California border in Oregon.  There was about 10 or so Cabooses (or caboosee) that are converted to motel rooms.  The waiting list was always super long.  Don't know if it still there (moved out of Oregon 15 years ago)

Why do we call them steam rollers when they run on gas? ? ? ?
