Hi Guys:
Started the Water Tank & Tool Shed A few days ago. Here's a few progress photos. I decided to go with colors rather than the super weathered look. It has a detailed interior. Sink and toilet are installed so far.
Karl
Karl...
Good choice on the colors....... the green and depot buff colors are my favorite for on-line structures.
very cool
thanx
Bob
Hey Bob:

What will you do when you run out of depot buff? LOL
Dick
A neat golden oldie.....I'll be looking in Karl. :)
I will be following this
Jim
Hi Dick:
I guess I will have to find something else that matches it. Actually Model Master makes Depot Buff. I have some of it also. I'm sure there is a craft paint that will also match.
Karl
Hi Greg:
Thanks for following along.

Hi John & Janbouli:
Thanks for the compliment guys. Much appreciated as always.

Nice job, Karl. That's a lot of character for an unassuming little kit.

Karl
Hi All:
Been working on the water tank roof and decided to go with a flat roof as George has done on other kits and structures on the F&SM. Here's a photo. Hope it looks OK.
Karl
Hi Guys:
George Sellios called me this afternoon to tell he like what I was doing with the kit. He actually liked the flat water tank roof. He said keep up the good work.

Wow. A call from George -- that has to be fun!
Personally, I was hoping for no roof and just Billy Jo, Bobbi Jo, and Betty Jo peering over the rim...you know, maybe something like:

Just a thought....
Karl,
Congrats on getting the stamp of approval from George Sellios! Is this hobby great, or what?
Vince,
Glad to know I'm not the only one to ponder modeling that scene, and of course with Uncle Joe asleep on the porch of the Shady Rest.
Hi Vince:
Thats A cool idea but to late know as the roof was already glued on. Thanks for the idea.
Karl
Hi Opa George:
Thanks for checking in. It's glued to the base and the terack is installed. On to the scenery around the kit.
Karl
Hi All:
Got some more done on this. Did the ladders and put the detail casting around the building.
Karl
Looks fantastic Karl. Great work!
John
Karl, looks really good. The details castings really tie it to the base. Lots of character in that structure.
Hi John & George:
Thanks much for the compliments. Glad you like how the casting tie everything together. On to the fence and all the other details.
