Moving along in the dust of the Electric Heavy Delivery Truck will be the HO Scale Closed Cab Pick Up. This will probably be in several versions including Thuckster, and Open cab versions..... I hope it works. Will post the first prototypes here when complete. Combination 3d printing and laser cut parts.
Darryl,
Nice little vehicle. I'm looking forward to how this turns out.
Tom ;D
Sweet!
Love the design in those old trucks..... 8)
Darryl.
I think you are on to a replacement option to Jordon vehicles.
I know you can't bring them in as inexpensively as the originals but a good model is worth a fair price.
Let me know when you go to production
Cool - Keep us informed of your progress.
Darryl,
Great choice! So many possibilities! I'm looking forward to the kit's release.
Me too

me three!
Just a thought - would it be an easy alteration to make the interior so that it could be easily swapped to right hand drive? There are many countries around the world where modelers would find this appealing. I did a google search and the first model T ford dealership in Christchurch, New Zealand was started in 1910.
Cheers, Mark.
Thanks team for the comments and suggestions always welcome.
Mark, this one will be easy to make right hand steering as you just need to reverse the front two panels so the steering is on the "correct" side. The marker lamp in the back can be reversed by gluing on the other side of the tailgate. I can't do much about reversing the lettering to make it backwards to work in the southern Hemisphere though!!! DROF!
Got the parts laid out for the Laser. If I can interrupt Mrs. Laser Slave today, I will fit in this cut to test fit things.
Here is the Alpha model from early cuts. Needs some adjustments to the running boards and some parts fit and kerf modifications, but getting closer to a production model. The parts are tiny!!
Frustratingly Fricking Satisfying.... just like a Jordan!!

Darryl,
Very nice....looks like another winner for an early truck...

Hi Jim, yes the wheels are 015 laserboard. 3 layers + an optional center hub cap. Not sure I like the center cap, but will see how it paints up.

Darryl...
Have you designed the chassis so that some of your other bodies will go on it. Like your one ton delivery for example.
That is s great model. Recall that I snagged two when I saw you in Salmon Arm.
It was unfortunate the the delivery became an orphan with the demise of Jordan.
Hope that this can bring back a great model option.
See ya

Hi Bob, that is the plan to re-release those kits as full kits. I think we will do a chassis and front end only kit as well so that the conversion kits out there won't be orphaned with the demise of Jordan.
Here is the first 2 samples for the new line up coming.
Dang those look great . Now for the N scale ones:)

2nd that ;D
Or some HO horse-drawn wagons, to replace/augment the Jordan kits. It would be great if you also 3D printed draft horses.

Darryl,
Love those trucks!!!!! They are a "must have" for the Delaware & Northern.
For those of you that haven't seen this, here is a link to a thread posted by Glen Haasdyk with some photos he took on a recent visit to see Darryl's shop.

Darryl...
What if you run the chassis that is lost to Jordan as a base starter and then let people order that base with what ever superstructure that they might want to add on? ? ? ?
They can tailor the model for their particular interests. Either way......... you market a base Model T front end with what ever they want as a specific truck in the end.
Everyone is happy ! ! ! ! ! !
Just think out loud here................
Are you going to Cranbrook this summer for the PNR divisional meet?
see yaBob

I like that idea. I'd love to have a source like that to get creative, without having to pay $25+ for a complete Jordan kit on Ebay.

Looks like it could work in N Scale as well as HO! Those are some really small parts to put together! Took my eyes to the maximum that they can work these days.
Thanks for all the great comments. I was thinking how to make these body styles combine and keep a common front end as well and keep the kit numbering to a minimum.
It should all get sorted in January. Not sure about Cranbrook this year, but will be at Supertrain for sure.
Darryl,
OMG, that thing is TINY! That's some pretty amazing laser work and assembly skill!
Love the N scale , great work they should sell like hot cake.

My goodness.....it sure looked a lot bigger in the pictures before you stuck your finger in Darryl. ;D
You made my day with the N-scale Ford Darryl , great just great.
