While waiting for paint to dry , decals to set etc. on the Wagon company build I started this lovely little cardstock build.
The envelope with the cardstock parts inside.(https://modelersforum.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fjanbouli.com%2Fimages%2Fgebouwen%2Fmetregal%2Fmetregal1.jpg&hash=9b06eeaed1fef63a50a45d956b5ae841460422c9)
The parts are cut out of cardstock, you only have to cut 1 straight line of the parts to loosen them from the board.

More tomorrow
Hey Jan:
Looks real nice. Amazing what they can do with card stock.
Karl
Thanks Karl , very much appreciated , and yes cardstock looks great especially for non-wood buildings, it does feel less modeling though , more cut and glue , but it looks better with a bit of weathering so I'll call it modeling anyway.
Your british picture house s looking good Jan!
Mike ;)
Jan WOW, I can't believe that's card stock. Excellent job.

Likewise Jan. My fingers are to clumsy for N scale. Jim
Jan;
I think it is great modeling, just different from modeling with wood.

Jan,
Like the others, I'm impressed with how the cardstock building looks. Great job my friend, looks fantastic.

Ditto. And it also is too small for my fingers and eyes.
Jim
Thanks Tom and Jim , how many Jim's do we have here , enough to fill a Gym :)
Photo's of the finished cinema, except for the Film Letters , have to change this to a March 1960 film.

I didn't think cardstock could look so good. Very nice
Beautiful looking building Jan. How do you paint and weather without messing up the cardstock?
well done Jan
rich
Very nice, Jan. Hard to believe it's cardstock.
Jeff
Thank you Steve, Curt , Rich and Jeff, much appreciated.
It doesn't need much to weather this , but it just can't be too wet , so I tried some Artists Markers I got at the Euro store, they use alcohol in the markers so that dries really quick , tried it on a spare piece of printed card first , didn't smudge or anything like that . So I just took very translucent greys and a burnt umber and covered the parts I thought were too clean/ bright.
I don't have all these colors , I bought the boxes with the yellow and reds and the grey and greens , I always look to see if they have any new colors. I've also done some trim and windows on wood kits with these , they are great, and cheap , a box of 12 costs 4 euro's about 4,5 dollars.
