Hi All:
Next up is Full Steam Ahead's Bicycle Shop sent to me by Joe. Here's the front of the instruction manual. Well its off to read.
Karl
Hi All:
Here's a photo of the walls. Also scanned my signs in and made a copy. That way if you make a mistake you don't have a problem. Just print a new sheet. Plus you get to keep the originals. Now to pick a color scheme.
Karl
Hi All:
Walls are painted Floquil Depot Buff.
Karl
Hi All:
Windows and doors are Floquil Zinc Chromate primer.
Karl
Hi All:
Black A&I wash has been added to walls & windows.
Karl
Karl..........
You are really cooking with this one....
Perhaps you should take a break and cook something on the grille.
Thanx
Bob
Karl,
I'll be following along on this one as well. Great start.
Tom ;D
Hi Tom
Thanks:
Karl.
Hi Guys:
Now this is really cool. I've never seen a mfg do this before. The wall bracing lines are scribed into the backs of the walls. Now how cool is that. What a time saver.

Karl,
That is great, I've never seen it before either.
Tom ;D
Hi Tom:
Like I said me either.
Karl
Hi All:
Corner post and wall bracing are finished.
Karl
Following along; cool about the bracing lines.
Hi Dave:
Yeah made it easy and fast.
Karl
Hi All:

Karl
Karl
Looks great! I will also be following the build.
Hi John:
Thanks appreciate it.
Karl
Hi All:
First floor wall skins installed.
Here's a photo.
Karl
Karl, looks good. Any thoughts on the depth gap between interior skins and the windows created by the bracing. I am doing a quasi build thread of same kit on Model Railroad Forum and Railroad Line Forum and am the point of trying to decide whether to instal interior or not.
Does the gap become obvious when interior is viewed from the front windows?
David
Hi David:
I would think once the walls are assembled this won't be very visable. The shades will probably hide most of that problem. Let me know what you think Ok.
Karl
Hi All:
Progress photo of walls skins installed on 1st and 2nd floors.
Karl
Hi All:
Here's my latest progress photo. Have the store front done. The sidewalk is installed. Started the roof. Witches hat is assembled with its seam caps installed.
Karl
Is that a raunchy naked witch that puts her hat on before her robe? ;D ;D 8) 8) 8)
Even your "in progress" work is incredibly neat and tidy. How'd the conical roof come together ?
Hi Dave W:
It could be.You never know what those witches are gonna do.
Karl
Hi Dave K:
Thanks. The Conical roof went together well. I wanted to build it first so I could fit the main roof around it. I'll let you know how it works.
Karl
Looking great Karl! Really like the colors you chose. Nice touch with the bracing lines. I'll be following your progress as well.
Hi Mark:
Thanks Appreciate it.
Karl
Hi All:
Here it is finished.
Karl
Carl
Another great build. Thanks for sharing it!
Hi John:
Thanks.
Karl
The nasty witch did good by puttin' on her hat first!
The final build looks fantastic, as usual! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Hope it didn't embarrass our prudish members like Ralphie and Chippie! ::) ::) ::)
Hi David:
Thanks for the reply. Appreciated as always. Hope I didn't embarrass them either.
Karl
Great finish Karl!
Karl,
A great build on a great kit by a great modeler! Very well done Karl, as usual!
